I don't think that would be a great idea. But if he's the guy they hire, then **** it, go Urban.

I dont care about the fake moral superiority of the fans.

I think I would be excited even though I voted content because of the baggage and the fact that it wouldn't last. But no doubt he would bring a ton of attention to the program from recruits and the nation as a whole. He is a proven winner at the collegiate level, hard to argue that.

If you don't want Urban, you don't want NU to be awesome.

None of us cheer for NU because we like the coach and think he is a good family man.

At this point, I'd support bin laden if he could win 10 games.

He is worth a Saban contract as far as I’m concerned. Give Urban the keys to the facility and a list of the bars with the loosest women.

It is amazing to me how people hated him and brought up every flaw in the guy, personal and professional but if there is even a glimer of hope, he's the guy for Nebraska.

We should add in his contract he can kick walk ons any time he feels the need as long as his win % remains good lol.

Sign me the **** up. There's a similar poll over on Reddit in the Huskers sub. Urban is winning the poll in a landslide.

It's like all the people that say money can't buy happiness.

Yes it can...

Urban Meyer all the way.

He would bring instant credibility back to the Huskers. The man wins wherever he goes (with the exception of Jacksonville because no one wins there). I'd be stoked.

My Guess to get Urban...

You would need to offer him 20MM/Year

200/10 years...

Along with that, you would need to let him have 10M/Year for his Assistants.

Both would be very important to get him to say no way can I turn that down and pull him out of Fox...

Is somebody going to tell him about these polls?

I voted for excited but I’ll be excited no matter who gets hired.
I’d prefer someone with a cleaner reputation.

Well at least he doesn't win off the backs of women beaters.

Like our greatest coach ever.
of course he does, his receivers coach, er, I mean, he doesn't remember, his health issues you know. Who are the women beaters that TO feigned not being able to remember and then did his best to destroy any evidence as to those beatings? I love the responses about TO, it's the sign of a strong mind.

Urban would be a short timer at best, then the new "follow the legend" coach would probably fade after a few years and get fired. And so it goes.
