Unfortunately this is not my decision, nor is it Rivals decision, as of July 1st we will owned by On3. Nothing changes from a content standpoint and we will continue to post the very latest Rutgers scoop.

As we continue to learn more about the merger, we will continue to update you guys.

The replies to Shannon Terry's posting criticize his decision. He responds that this is the "very best we can do for now. We have the data and can revisit when we get critical measures completed." have asked -- and I'd be surprised if I get an answer -- if the reason is only technical, or if there are legal or policy rationales.

My guess is that it's a lot of data and will require time and effort to bring it over and they don't want to pay for it now.

It's not all that much effort to do it, in fact now is the time to do it as part of the conversion. My experience has been if it isn't done now, it more than likely never gets done.

Exactly. Typical lip service from a corporate blowhard. The guy founded both major sites, this one and the one that runs on 1980s message board technology, and now On3.

Wait it’s not rivals decision? Isn’t Rivals being acquired by the guy that created rivals? So it is his decision, which would make it rivals decision. This is nexus of the universe type shite.

It's more effort than just getting the sites merged and we all know how cheap Project Managers can be.

The truth is Greg Schiano killed this board by not allowing anything whatsoever that happens at practice to be reported. In GS part 1, there was robust discussion of players, practice, opponents. Now there's very little of that during the season except maybe on game days and the day after and next to none in the off-season. Twitter (X) has a lot to do with it too.

Ohhh... time = money... did not consider MOVING the data in a previous comment on this, only storage costs. But still.. they do not store images, only text and links. Bandwidth costs? Still think it is short-sighted and only goes to show what they really think of the content created by their customers.

We have tons of insider content on recruiting, injuries, etc every week throughout the season. Highly recommend giving us another try, you won't regret it.

It’s definitely not a tech issue. Would be very easy to do. They just don’t want to pay for it.

Is it some point of pride to be a "legend" or "hall of famer"?
Do people actually look at that stuff?

I couldn't even guess at my post count or status without checking.

A full reset literally has zero effect on posting on the board.

Tepid Take: maintaining post counts/clout, etc. helps weed out trolls and those just wanting to stir up sh$t.
