Uh in 10 years the GOPs base will be dying while the country is more left leaning now than ever before, no matter the election results. Which Hillary won by 3 damn million votes The archaic Electoral College was created for slave states. Its outdated. 2 of the last 3 presidents lost the popular vote. It should be whoever gets the most votes and I would say the same if Trump was in the same situation.
You realize we already have tons of socialist elements. Medicaid, Medicare, the Military and on and on. Nothing wrong with having Socialism in a Capitalist controlled country. We need to help other people when we can. What's wrong with universal health insurance for everyone like every other western democracy has as a right from birth? The GOP cant wait to repeal Obamacare to give the rich huge tax breaks with no plans for what to do. Its disgusting. 20 million people and they laugh about gutting it. We are a progressive country and we need to be. Going forward instead of standing still.
Look I am sorry for bringing politics into this but you have no idea how much of a disaster the next four years are gonna be. You realize 2/3 of his followers are on Obamacare and now are freaking out realizing he drained the swamp right into his administration. Nothing but billionaires and career politicians.
While I rarely engage in political discussions, but most of what you think you know about Obamacare is wrong, and that is the problem. Never let the Government dictate healthcare, because at that point you really will become a number. Obamacare is killing the medical industry as we speak, because they are dictating the treatments you can get, and who you can get it from. And guess what, the who you can get it from depends on who wants to pay the most. And my wife is a doctor who knows first hand what it has done. There are manufacturing jobs all over the place that offer company assisted/paid for health insurance. The only people that need insurance that doesn't have a way to get it is the people who are simply physically incapable of working, otherwise there is a solution.
America is a great country where you have the freedom to succeed as much as you want. The problem is, you also should be able to fail. Too many people want the opportunity to succeed with virtually no risk whatsoever. My father-in-law had to take a job with a local utility for half the money he was making when he owned his own business, because my mother-in-law had cancer, and that was the only way he could get health insurance for them. It was a tough choice, but didn't affect his ability to exist, only the lifestyle he could live. But he did what he had to do. Now people are crying because they are having to make the same types of choices, so the governement steps in, raises health insurance for half the working people, so that the people who would have to make tough choices doesn't have too.
