UK is right now at worst the 2nd best team IMO behind only UCLA . Nova would be 3rd Gonzaga at 4 and KU at 5.

This Duke team is deep like 2015 Kentucky Wildcats. I think you must be ranking their JV team.
Since Gonzaga was ranked 4th, one spot ahead of us, I think everyone who voted for them should be required to place a significant sum of money on them if we were to play in the tournament. See how many thought they were actually better then!
Keep winning, zags. I'm perfectly happy to enter the tournament without being the over hyped team. I want all the focus elsewhere so this team can just play on.
I don't care about either of the two polls, they are voted on by people who don't see every game. I pay more attention to Pomeroy.

Yes, keep winning zags and steal a 1 seed from someone more deserving. If we are the team that doesn't get a 1 seed due to Gonzaga will you still take this stance?
Really surprised that Villanova jumped Kansas. I was hopeful that Kansas would be #1 when they come to Rupp, but that isn't likely now as Villanova really doesn't have a very losable game before then.
Hopefully if this happens, they ship Gonzaga out of the West and give UCLA the 1 seed it will likely deserve out there. Then that would open the door to move Gonzaga to the South and put us as their #2. I'd be okay with that.

They are freakin undefeated vs a solid schedule & multiple ranked teams. They deserve the high ranking. I know their schedule over the next 6 weeks will be cake.
That ranking doesn't mean they are better than us, it just means thus far they have outperformed us.

I want them to not lose before coming to Rupp. The higher they are when we take them down, the better for us.
I think you are really underestimating Gonzaga, there isn't an 8 or 9 seed tgat could stay within 20 points of this Gonzaga team. I'm not sure any of the potential 4 seeds out there could do much better.
This is a very good Gonzaga team.
As long as we are their 2 seed I'd take it.
They have been struggling at home with really bad teams. Oklahoma State was 0-4 in conference and almost handed KU an L in Lawrence. K-State almost did too.
Heck, Oklahoma had them down. They are taking on massive amounts of water right now.
We shouldn't be anyone's 2 seed. Not this team, a 2 seed for this team would mean something went terribly wrong.
Their offense is 7th, Def 6th. That's all good, but their SoS is a dismal 123rd. Second worst in the Pomeroy top 16.
I get that, but it's not like they are squeaking by anyone. They are blowing their doors off, and with us being in the SEC, I don't think we should toot that SOS horn too loudly.
They did beat Arizona and Florida I believe.
I wish they would move to the PAC12 and be done with it.

Not disagreeing with you, but when you know your conf is weak, you schedule a tough OoC shedule. UK's is 84 (without the Kansas game) and Zaga's was 124. WVU's is 346! Zaga may look alright, but they will certainly be far from battle tested come tournament time. Paper tiger.
To me, the two biggest keys are Fox's outside shooting and Gabriel.
Wenyen took a big step forward on Saturday, if he can continue to improve, there isn't a team that can beat UK. Only UK could beat UK at that point.
If battle tested is what is required than an ACC team will be winning it all.
But it has been more than proven through the years that you don't have to be battle tested to win it all.
Gonzaga made it to the E8 in 2015, this team is better. So they say.
By the time the NCAA accounts for the absence of ratface and the terrible hardship that kicky boy has endured, I'd say that makes them a shoe in for the top one seed.
We hear this every year. This is the year Gonzaga makes a run. Yada yada. They won't make the Final 4 again this year and I'll be very surprised if they make the Elite 8.
Still on track for a 1 seed. Ncaa will give them hardship status ...u know...k's got a bad back...and they had to sit their tripper a couple games.
Hmmm ... seems to me the past 2 dances the Zags have won just as many games (5) as the 'Cats. Oh ... and the last 2 dances the Zags' seed averaged 6.5 (2 and 11) as opposed to Kentucky's average seed of 2.5 (1 and 4). Other than that, good point.
Iowa State stayed within 2 points of them and at this point ISU is not even assured of making the tourney.
Big week for our guys. Road game against a team playing well and home against a very good ranked SC team. Combine that with the fact that we're "supposed" to win every game by 20 we can't afford a loss in either game.
Then they will put some team like UNC as the 4 seed for Gonzaga so we get UNC in the Elite 8 lol and WVU in the Sweet 16 as our 3 seed. Palm may suck at doing predictions and brackets but he is spot on with that type of screw job for UK with his bracket today.
