Underwhelmed by this class

Looks like a pretty decent class to me, always good for programs like NW and Wisconsin to have their highest rated recruit be a DB, hard for us to find that type, I've long felt that there was an Indirect proportion between Sat/ACT scores and forty times, the faster you run a forty, the lower your Sat scores. :p

Carnifax and Saunders look like very useful DL's , you got some nice OL prospects, overall a very nice class that will keep you competitive in the West.
Surprisingly, Wisconsin has a terrific class, considering the knock on Chryst was that he can't recruit.
Won't help next season though, that schedule is outrageous, schedule maker would not have done that to Mich or OSU or anyone else.

In the past week, 247 suddenly discovered four defensive tackles heretofore unknown to them who are all better than Miller. Makes perfectly good sense if you have lost some of your marbles.

I wonder how Roderick Campbell Jr. slipped past the rating services. Wasn't he raised from a 3* to a 4* well after he committed?;)

Rod only had a 4 star rating from Rivals. The other services have him at high 3. Almost certain Rod got his 4th star after ND offered and showed a lot of interest.

We didn't catch a big break in the schedule, either, with away games at Ohio State and Michigan State. Looks as if its custom-made for Iowa to take another run at the West.

I like the NU class quite a bit, especially on the offensive line. I am glad Whillock chose NU over Wisconsin and others, as I think he was really overlooked in recruiting.

You guys got a real good player in AJ Taylor. Will Brodner play RB?

Reading through the comments of who should and who should not be on the message board, I love how people justify being Aholes by saying that is the norm and should be expected and those who disagree should leave the message board because it is not meant for them. That is the biggest bunch of BS I have ever heard and one can be a fan, express themselves with a bit of dignity on the board, and show respect for the players and their families by not being harsh pricks. No one has the right to bully parents or any member of the NU community by saying they don't belong here. It is bad enough some feel they have to trash fans who want to shed positive light on the team, but to claim this as THEIR board not suited for others is some sort of egotistical idiocy that I would not want as representing a NU fan.

But I do respect their right to express themselves even if they are classless morons.

Hard to do that to OSU or Mich when they do not have to play themselves

My guess is that they discovered that the earth is flat, and because Miller lives so close to the edge, he is in danger of falling off, which makes him a risky recruit. He was downgraded based on geographic undesirability.

Wisconsin played both MSU and Iowa at their home fields twice in a row over the past four, five years and usually they give us something like OSU and Iowa back to back with both of them coming off bye weeks. The fact Wisconsin has done as well as it does with some of these schedules and a million Coaching changes is quite an accomplishment, though last two seasons we did have easy schedules but too thin a team due to coaching turnover.
Too bad, we should have a pretty good team next few years, assuming Justin Wilcox stays with the program.
In either event, nobody could overcome next years schedule.
LSU at Lambeau, to open, two easy games and then Mich at Mich followed by MSU at MSU, followed by OSU at home and then at Iowa, Nebby at home and at NW, all in a row.
Nobody has EVER had a schedule like that, when PSU is ready to win, we'll start getting them again.

They wouldn't give either of them Iowa, Wisconsin, Nebby/NW, in a row.
It's about physicality, our kids best case will be beaten up after the three games against the best three in the east.

I think we'll have one to match you in 2018 when we play Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Notre Dame and Iowa in the space of seven weeks. We do have Rutgers in the middle of that, but they probably will be better than they are now. Our other two OOC games are Duke and Rice, and Duke just had one of the best recruiting classes it's ever had.

Yes, we didn't bring in any other RB's , so Brodner will play there, Taylor will start out as a WR , who runs reverses and fly sweeps too.
Apparently Brodner ran a sub 4.5 forty at Badger Camp but they originally wanted him as an ILB but after his amazing run through the playoffs they were sold he could succeed as a TB, along the lines of a James White.

Yup, sounds tough but MSU, Mich and OSU are NOT self imposed like ND is.

I have no idea about the bars. I know he was four stars and now he is three. I know his composite number was 89 point something, and now it is 88 point something . He was rated the number 19 or 20 defensive tackle in the country, and now he is number 23 without anyapparent change in his national player ranking. When you figure out how all this happened at this time of the year, please let me know. I do not believe that the numbers changed for any of our other commits.
As far as rivals tracking changes, I have never seen such a thing. Maybe you can ask Louie.

Any time something bad and yet totally random happens to us, I look directly at Tuscaloosa. I would not be surprised to find that they are in some way even if indirectly responsible for this.

Yes, they are the evil empire. There are only four teams I wholeheartedly root for Notre Dame against — Alabama and the unholy Florida trio of Fla. State, Miami and the Gators.

I was not expecting such wisdom from this board. You sir are a gentleman and a scholar. Tennessee is marshalling her forces for a showdown with two of the afore mentioned serpents. We shall smite them, the only thing crimson leaving Knoxville on the 3rd weekend of Oct. will be their beaten derrieres.
