Yes, but that gradual descent to mediocrity was already well under way before the scandal hit. If the NCAA does what it should, they're headed for an era that will make the Doherty years seem like the golden years...or even worse, they'll become the next Indiana.

This decades long era of cheating is NOW affecting their recruiting. No UNC fan here but it's only now that this farce of a program is suffering the consequences.

I don't believe UNCheat has the players to get to the final four, let alone win a championship. As previously stated, they are bad defensively. Their offense is efficient, but if your defense is crap, forget it. What is the rule of thumb? Both offense and defense need to be in the top 25 to win a NC, historically? Their defense was 51 last year without much hope for improvement this year. I don't expect to see them past the sweet 16. The pressure of the scandal isn't over. They will have to deal with it every game.

If I have learned anything over the years, it is that "many" are often clueless. I've learned to trust my own judgement and perspective. UNC just doesn't appear to be a title contender. I think the "many" are wrong on this one.

They are very bad defensively and should get exposed. They is no possibility of getting a five star. Only a four star would mull an offer now. Funny thing is that when they hosted Brandon Robinson, Roy brought up possible sanctions and that basketball isn't impacted. Robinson never asked.
