I was wrong about him. I was wondering why Coach had him in. Now I know.
He outplayed Evan Mobley in a head to head matchup last year. He has a great motor but he plays a little too fast sometimes and got too excited on his scores that he didn’t get back on defense. Nothing that time can’t fix. He should be a good player as he gets more game experience

And it's why Cal hates it. Every time he uses a zone, the opponent gets three points immediately.

True. That said, when he went to it that late I thought it was a good move because unc had to adjust. Didn’t pan out but it was a thought.

Not sure Sarr is tough enough for this matchup. We'll see if he's ready to battle the second half.

The refs must love covid. They can make all the terrible calls they want with no one but one coach screaming at them. I hate refs!

Maybe this team’s identity is junkyard dog. If they embrace that, maybe they take a step forward.

Yeah, that trick always seems to work against us. Unc has veteran guys that know what to do in that situation but this is why Cal hates going zone. 100% of the time, the opponent gets 3

Half our turnovers are travels on shot fakes.

That's one of those bs calls stripes love to call against the cats. Ball leaves hand a split second before the pivot foot comes up, but its so close they call it a walk.

Anybody else notice the huge influx in “offensive fouls” this year? seems like they’d never get called in previous years.

I don't think I've ever seen Cal let two guys go iso as much as Clarke and Boston have. Maybe Monk and Murray.

But Cal usually doesn't like that.
