He still has to go to classes and pass, he just has to sit out the year basketball wise but he must enroll in school.

I personally like SKJ he did nothing as a freshman, but he really tried during SEC tournament made me wonder why he had not started all season. I believe he out hustled Nick Richards and with a season of playing might have developed, obviously Cal sees them every day and knows more than us, but its possible he missed on him. I do wish him good luck.
In what way was it his worst coaching job? We have no clue what goes on %99 of the time with these guys and Cal throughout the season.
I will say, that based on what I saw this year, I felt he should have started over Richards. He seemed to give better effort and towards the end of the year seemed to be the all around better player.
But again, I don’t know the reasons he didn’t.
Oh yea, F UNC and unfortunately if he goes there, F him too.
From the kids standpoint, I guess he feels like if he couldn't start over Richards even late in the season his situation was hopeless as far as more playing time in the future. I liked the kid and hate to see him go to UNCHEAT* after two years here. He actually was getting more time but he must not have been happy.
It would be really annoying if SKJ has a Matthews/Wiltjer type transformation for the stinkingTar Heels. And then there'll be all these "redemption" stories about how Roy and UNC got out of him what Cal and UK could not.

I see a 4th year junior, 5th year senior SKJ as a pretty damn good player.
Get a free degree taking fake classes...why not?
They actually set picks for shooters, have back door cuts, pick and rolls, etc. We do none of that. We resemble an NBA offense, which means somebody make a play. There is no structure or set plays. We are always too young to practice set plays. We have to teach how to run layup drills.

They run actual offensive sets designed to get the ball to their post players in scoring position.
I hear ya. But if you go back and read the scouting reports on SKJ after high school, it was clear that he excelled as a power forward who played alongside a true center, and as a guy who could be a focal point on offense. Cal didn't use SKJ that way. Cal played him as a center alongside comboforwards, and instead of being an offensive focal point he was expected to just patrol the paint on defense and set screens on offense.
That's the long-winded way of saying Cal never used SKJ in the way scouts expected. We never saw SKJ playing the role that optimized his talent.

You don’t seem to be very familiar with how Roy Williams coaches. Set plays aren’t exactly part of his repertoire. His offense as always been predicated on elite athletes utilizing transition and secondary breaks. That’s why their teams have been so up and down in terms of success once Calipari and the AFAM cloud started hurting their recruiting.
Below is a quote from an article from last year.
“North Carolina’s offense is fairly unique in the college ranks. They don’t run many set plays at all; players and staff estimate that about 70 percent of their half court possessions are what the Heels call ‘freelance,’ which is exactly what it sounds like: “Everybody does what they want,” Paige said.”
UNC is one of the worst examples you could have picked when it comes to talking about a structured offense. Roy Williams has at many points in his career been the poster child for just “rolling the ball out there.”

True. Carolina's motion offense is passing, ball reversal and screening. You do not see the point guard pounding the ball for 20 seconds and then pick and roll.
