Why? He's played great up until today having some of his best games as of late. So, he had an off day let's hope it is out of his system now. If we get a repeat performance or two I'll be worried about his endurance.I think it's fatigue even though he or Cal will not admit it.
A bit different. In the NBA he won't be playing every single minute and have every offensive set run through him. Even Lebron James comes out of the game in the NBA. And even when he's on the floor he doesn't have the offense run through him every time down the court. Part of the art of the NBA is knowing how to steal minutes of rest for your stars. Ulis isn't getting that right now. He is carrying us on both ends of the court every possession.Yeah, things will be much easier when they get to that much easier 82 game NBA schedule.
They play multiple games a week in the NBA. If 30 year old starters can do that all season long I think Tyler can handle 2 games a week.A bit different. really....not his 5-20 shooting, 0-7 from three? that didnt kill us?
No doubt? Grab a big rock and go jump into a big lake.there is NO DOUBT UF has the game of their season & beats UK, just as Vandy did today
No. Everyone but Murray killed us today.I like the the little guy and a great player but he hurt us today.

Round of 32 on a neutral court and non SEC refs?!?!?!?Too much on one person's shoulder. I don't blame him. I think round of 32 is our ceiling this year. Just don't have the legs.
Not his best game and maybe his worst this year, but you should hold the front court much more responsible for this loss than anything or any one person, especially Tyler who did make some nice baskets and nice plays. Our front court, minus a decent effort, albeit not great by any means by Marcus, was as inept as any we've seen since Cal has been here. Virtually nothing from them or the bench, and with that kind of effort and skill, we were destined to lose from the very beginning.I like the the little guy and a great player but he hurt us today.
More to the gsme than offense...is this hard for people to figure out? He still played good defense and somehow managed 6 assists when only 3 ppl besides himself scored on the team. He killed nothing. Lee, poy, and Skal having less rebounds than murray alone killed us.I like the the little guy and a great player but he hurt us today.
Our ceiling?! You've got to be kidding.Too much on one person's shoulder. I don't blame him. I think round of 32 is our ceiling this year. Just don't have the legs.
Dude you are an idiot. If Willis was healthy and Lee could give us a few good minutes we wouldn't need Ullis to be Superman every game.I like the the little guy and a great player but he hurt us today.
Ulis just had a bad game , shows he is human , not a machine like Cal says, but our bigs did not score enough, and Brisco missed a lot of shots..
Briscoe missed 4, Ulis missed 15. Briscoe actually shot 4/8 overall, which is really good. He just has no business shooting 3 three point shots. If Ulis shoots 20 times in a game, I have to hope he'd hit 7-8 of them at worst case. Today he just hit 5. He had an off game shooting, happens to everyone.
It wasn't fatigue. Fatigue effects all players, but fatigue doesn't suddenly set in at the end of February. If it was fatigue, Ulis would have looked fatigued against TAM. But a lot of people here are so glued to their Ulis NBA narratives that they can't understand he, like other players, is helped or hurt by certain matchups. Vandy is a very sound perimeter defensive team with long guards. When Vandy played us in Lexington a month ago, Riley LaChance was starting and Ulis ate him up. But now, Baldwin and Fisher-Davis are starting. LaChance only played 12 minutes yesterday. Baldwin is a tall, athletic defender and Ulis had trouble with him. This is what Ulis will encounter every day in an NBA camp. That is why size matters, even for a player as skilled and driven as Ulis. The only reason Ulis took 20 shots yesterday is because Briscoe couldn't sink a perimeter shot and Kevin Stallings was doing everything he could think of to defend Murray. This was Ulis' worst game as a Wildcat, but every player has bad games at times when the matchup is not favorable.I think it's fatigue even though he or Cal will not admit it.
I know it's a message board & we all certainly have a right to vent, etc.
That said, with all Ulis has done for us this season, to have a headline like this posts on the board is ridiculous & embarrassing, in my opinion.
Tyler, if you're reading this, pay it no mind & keep on doing what you're doing brother. You've become one of my all time favorite Cats & I go back to about 1975.
I do agree that there should be zero discussion or comments by the head coach during the season regarding a current player's future nba plans after the season.Definitive talk about the NBA comes to the forefront for a player and surprise surprise he starts struggling. SeeUlis now, See Booker last year.
