Any news on Ulis? Is he going to make a team? Go overseas?
Lots of FA PGs.Kinda surprised nobody has signed him. Feel like he would be a good value to pickup as a backup PG.
FWIW Mario has had 10x the NBA career Ulis will ever have. Played on the LeBron Wade Bosh Miami teams and startedIs Mario Chalmers still fat? [laughing]
Wasn’t that because the Heat couldn’t afford a better point guard?FWIW Mario has had 10x the NBA career Ulis will ever have. Played on the LeBron Wade Bosh Miami teams and started
Mario still had solid stats on that miami team, was more than serviceable. I didn't say he was great, but definitely a solid career.Wasn’t that because the Heat couldn’t afford a better point guard?
Yeah I would agree with that.Mario still had solid stats on that miami team, was more than serviceable. I didn't say he was great, but definitely a solid career.
Nobody knows! Is Mario Chalmers still fat? [laughing]
:flushed: It was a joke on this board for a long time. Sorry.FWIW Mario has had 10x the NBA career Ulis will ever have. Played on the LeBron Wade Bosh Miami teams and started
How you Been? You mean the Elevator Cage Fighter?
Ulis is an NBA PG, he's a backup but he belongs in the league and will catch on with a team. He's also not even close to being the best college PG Cal has had.I don't think anyone is hating on Ulis. I've watched the suns play literally 60 games on league pass. Ulis really isn't a NBA player. He can not defend NBA point guards, he just can't. He also doesn't have the offensive game to overcome that. I can say that and also say Tyler Ulis is the best PG Cal has had at UK for the college game. Wish he stayed all 4 years he'd have a national title with fox and monk and the boys. He went and got his 500K or whatever and that's great but him not making the league isn't a shock. Love the guy and always will but unless Booker or some other friend of his makes a stand for him like other players have done for their buddies his NBA days are very limited going forward
Calling him serviceable is kind, he's definitely not more than serviceable. He averaged 9 and 4 while shooting 45% and below for most of his career.Mario still had solid stats on that miami team, was more than serviceable. I didn't say he was great, but definitely a solid career.
Better question smoothie king; HOW YA BEEN?How you Been?
You should feel lucky and bet the powerball tonight. Of all the people smooth could of asked how they been he picked you. It’s not everyday smooth asks a random stranger he’s never talked to before how they been. You mean the Elevator Cage Fighter?

Lotta free agent PGs floating around as I listed but keeping my fingers crossed he can wind up on a team as their 3rd PG.Myself as original OP I do not believe he is a starting Point Guard, but would be a very good back up. He has a high basketball IQ and I think he could improve his shooting and defense to be respectable. He is an assist machine and I think he deserves to be in the NBA. If not I hope he goes overseas makes some money and then get into coaching as I think he would kick but in the coaching field. my wo cents.
I've been harassing smoove for years. Years!!You should feel lucky and bet the powerball tonight. Of all the people smooth could of asked how they been he picked you. It’s not everyday smooth asks a random stranger he’s never talked to before how they been.
Just an All American, so yes, he's very much in the conversation.Ulis is an NBA PG, he's a backup but he belongs in the league and will catch on with a team. He's also not even close to being the best college PG Cal has had.

That’s the point. He does it to everyone which was the joke lolHe does it with everyone. Like an over the hill actor with a late night tv guest spot who, when introduced, points out into the crowd as if he sees some of his buddies out there.
It's kind of cute and there's no harm in it.
He's not in the conversation with John Wall. Wall was a vastly superior player.Just an All American, so yes, he's very much in the conversation.
He's gotta fix that jumper. For some reason he was awful last year. You can't be 5'7 and shoot poorly.
He shot 34% here his sophomore year which is about the same percentage that Hami shot. I believe that's what kept him out of the 1st round. You have to be a knock down shooter at that size.Which is weird because he shot fine here. The added three point distance and size of defenders kills him I am sure.

That IS the conversation. Hear me conversing? Ulis played 2 seasons and I take that into consideration. His teams outperformed Wall's team. Now physically, Wall is a more imposing athlete, but that's not the debate. Ulis has point guard skills and basketball IQ that rival Wall's. See, it's a conversation and we can disagree. He's not in the conversation with John Wall. Wall was a vastly superior player.
The team he was a backup on and averaged 5 points a game outperformed Wall's team. The team he starred on went 27-9 and got bounced in the 2nd round of the tournament. There's no comparison between Wall and Ulis. That IS the conversation. Hear me conversing? Ulis played 2 seasons and I take that into consideration. His teams outperformed Wall's team. Definitely. Size isn't just a factor in the paint. Those guys are big and athletic enough to play off of him so he can't create and still contest the shot.
It basically boils down to being really, really tough to make it in the NBA, and if you're built like a 7th grader, you have to be a rare talent, a freak athlete, or both.
He can make a fortune playing overseas though.
