Yep Michigan St has been a dud but they managed to beat Wichita St who is supposed to be a good win for UofL somehow. UofL's schedule has been garbage so far but will get tough starting tonight. I've watched UofL play plenty of games and they just don't look like a top 25 team to me.The 5 baddies we played at home killed our SOS.
Michigan State being a dud hurt it to a lesser extent.
The refs won't let UK take control. They will keep it close for ratings sakeI agree UL does not look very good, but why is the line basically a pick em?
I thought UK would open a 3 to 5 point favorite.
The only thing that concerns me about this game is the LINE being so close. As a UK fan it makes me wonder what, if anything, I am missing?
this is ridiculous Uavel guards cannot guard Fox and Monk they have no one to match up with Gabriel or Briscoe give me a breakLOL, what on Gods green earth could make them think UL is 2 points better?
If we can replicate that performance even close to 75% we should win by dbl digits. However, that included a big big time performance from Monk, so who knows if we can get close to that again. Should be an entertaining game though. While they do have size and length, their big's have looked pretty soft so far this year. I think this is a game Bam could really go off. Briscoe should be a huge factor having played them before and being so strong at attacking the rim. They are going to have to keep Mitchell on Monk as much as possible, as he is the only player they have even remotely close to the athleticism as monk. Snider is going to be on Fox, which should be a huge advantage to us. They can use King to try and defend them some, but I think that might be asking a little much of him at this point. Their biggest chance of winning is we either have a horrible game and let down, foul trouble on our side, or Johnson, Mitchell and Snider play out of their minds and they get consistent scoring in the post from at least a couple guys. Upsets can always happen, but I really don't see them staying with us once we get settled into the game. First 15 minutes or so should be close, but I say we start grinding them down after that. I think we win by at least 8.The way UK played against UNC, I would be surprised if UL doesn't lose this one big.

The problem with that is I am not sure the talent disparity has ever been as large. We have definitely always been the more talented team, with maybe the exception of their championship team, but that still might have been an edge to us. They just literally have no one close to Monk, Fox, Bam or Briscoe. Any of those 4 would be the featured player of this Louisville team. This is a really really heavy advantage in our favor. Again, anything can happen, but I feel like this team could blow them out if they don't get overwhelmed by the environment.I've made similar analyses in the past regarding this matchup. It almost always ends up close anyway.
