very obviously cal called that timeout to get toppin out. he must have said “who wants to guard this guy?”. it appears ware said “i can do it coach”.
We’re watching a bubble team at best right now. No real offense except trying to force feed the post or to hope someone can beat their man to the rim one-on-one. Neither is very effective because our post players have limited scoring moves and aren’t reliable passers if the double team comes, and our primary ball handler has trouble finishing in traffic.
Despite having a couple of athletes who look like they’d be stout defenders on paper, our team defense isn’t actually good enough to offset the offensive struggles either. Very frustrating to watch.

Agree. We finally had some stops on defense and a chance to cut into the lead and Toppin and Oscar take mid range jumpers
