my hope is that this puts the “kentucky only has all those wins because they play in the weak SEC, they could never do that in the ACC!” narrative to sleep. oh, the SEC has a winning record of
109-84 against the ACC in fact the SEC has a winning record against every power 5 conference except the big east...

What’s our tally vs the Big 12?

I've always maintained if we had started in the ACC instead of the SEC, dook and UNCheat would look much more like Florida and Arkansas. They'd have a couple titles but nothing approaching the success they've had.

People argue the SEC is not a basketball conference and it's why Kentucky dominates. I'd argue it's not a basketball conference because of Kentucky.

Tough for anything to grow in the shade.

If not for the rooferie and the 3 blind mice not ejecting Laetner, we are looking at 2 less losses, 2 more wins, and possibly 2 more national championships. Not sure 92 would have won it all. But Bam, Monk, and Fox certainly could have.

Throw in 95 in the Elite 8 as well. Once we got screwed with the whole technical fiasco it was over. We were playing well before that.

Agreed.

But Riddick shouldn't have lost his **** like that.

Hard not to when someone purposely throws an elbow to your face. Wallace was a punk. Just look at how many technicals he got in the NBA. He had over 300 in his career (41 in a single season which is a record) and was ejected 30 times. I kinda wish Riddick did much worse to him .

16-24 vs UNCheat, but of course they had more practice time. [laughing]
i don’t care that we have a losing record against the cheats,UAB was once 3-2 against us...that doesn’t make them a better program. also, it’s funny how cheats fans say they’re the better program because they have more final fours, here’s where it gets good.
UNC
6 championships 20 final fours 6-5 championship game record 54% winning percentage in the championship game
UK
8 championships 17 final fours 8-4 championship game record 66% winning percentage in the championship game
not to mention UK is 6-3 against the cheats since cal got here

UK has more of the following versus the cheats:

overall wins
W/L pct
AP Final top 25
AP Final top 10
AP Final #1
30 win seasons
Conference titles
Conference tourney titles
NCAAT appearances
NCAAT wins
NCAAT Sweet 16s
NCAAT Elite 8s
NCAAT Final 4 Wins
NCAAT Title games
NCAAT Titles
NIT Titles
W/L pct versus Ranked teams

The Cheats are better:
Head to head
Final 4s

I rest my case

don’t forget the cheats have more championship game losses and less titles despite having 20 final fours

UNChokes?
I was arguing with a guy on the cheats board, and he called UK a “has been” program and compared UNC to alabama football because they were winning championships now. I don’t think the idiot realized that since the 2009-2010 season
UK
4 final fours
1 title
1 runner up
6-3 record against the cheats
UNC
3 final fours
1 one title
1 runner up
3-6 record against UK

Are we playing UNC in the cbs sports classic or whatever that’s called?

No. No other school ever gave a **** about basketball.

When Rupp arrived, you had assistant fb coaches in the SEC coaching basketball.

That's roughly an average record of 13-5 in 18 game conference schedule. Not too shabby.

I would like to see your list because there's no way we've played that many games against ACC opponents. Are you counting teams like South Carolina, Virginia Tech and Louisville while they members of SEC and Metro conference?

The ACC has only been around since 1953 so there's no way Kentucky has played nearly 300 games against that conference. I would like to see you post your numbers here.
