I'm going to take a wild guess and say it was an agreed upon time that they thought wouldnt cause trouble with potential bowl games

That's 2 years in a row they put the game at garbage time. Pathetic. Duke UNC is always prime real estate. F em.

I guess we should all stick our collective head in the sand and ignore the uneven playing field that's slanted in favor of Dook (and the ACC in general)...ignore the fact that ncaa basketball is fast becoming the WWF of college sports? I'm at a loss to understand all your little laughing heads? I, for one, don't see a single damn thing funny about it...

Wow. You're right. This is a big conspiracy to screw UK and tilt the table in Duke's favor. The Network TV stations and the NCAA are out to get us. Damn....it's worse than I thought. Before it was only the refs that were out to stick it to us!

RIDICULOUS.

I don't care about the time from a fan perspective. I will watch the game no matter what time/day it is scheduled. I just hope it doesn't affect the players being at an unorthodox time/day and our guys show up off their game.

I don't see how it would impact our team any more than it would theirs.

Yes, I am right. Which makes you wrong. That's no skin off my back, but you should be advised that you cannot physically shove your head into the sand w/out showing your a$$ to the world.

Please keep your pants tightly cinched.

Great. I'll have an excuse to to not work in my office from 1 to 3pm. Depending on how the game goes, I'll call my day short on top of it. Rupp would still be full even if it was a 4am game on Easter Sunday morning. I'm not overly concerned.

Should be fine. That will basically be a holiday, and most sports fans will be home with the TV on.

I don't think the Friday of NYE's weekend is much different than the Saturday. Sucks if you have to work, I guess.

In what world do you live in? Is it considered a holiday because it is four days after Christmas or 3 days before New Year's? I will be at work with most of the non-retired adult population.

Uh, I don't know. I think I live in the real world. New Year's Eve being Sunday night, I doubt Friday at 1:00 will be very productive. Most people I know will have shut it down for the weekend by then.

I'm sure a lot of people will be working, but people work all kinds of different shifts these days.

I mean, I would expect less people to be working that day than during March Madness. But people still find a way to watch those games.

This just proves that no one outside of Kentucky cares about this game.

They care about Kentucky, but they don't care about Louisville.

That Wednesday night game last year was still the 6th most watched regular season game.

March madness also has an App that streams every game playing. Will Ky/UL game? Probably not, and even if it is it will be blacked out due to local channels

It might affect both teams, it might not affect either. I would just prefer no matter what the situation, our team plays it's best. That's usually enough to beat anyone.

I doubt that the tip time affects either team, since they will be on Christmas break, and will be practicing at all hours, while out of school. Can't say about UL, but Cal sometimes has them in 3-a-day practices, so a 1pm game should be no big deal.

I don't wanna watch a basketball game at 1 unless it's March Madness or a Sunday. That is stupid.

Congratulations....you've achieved one measured step north of 'nanny nanny boo boo'. The fact that you truly believe you're right makes me: a) convinced that you're a member of the very vocal minority UK "FAN" who give the rest of us a bad name, and b) not worth my time. Piss off.

It really won't matter what time or day UK vs UL takes place. More often than not, Kentucky beats UL. I don't see why anything different should be expected this season? I know Rick has said this is his most atheletic UL team, maybe, maybe not, but we can all agree on this UK roster has better talent and can get higher than the guys on the UL roster. This Kentucky roster is built to fly up and down the court and to play above the rim.Rick sees good hops with his guys, Cal sees world class hops with guys like Knox and Diallo being on the floor.

Should be on Watchespn. Or streamed by one of our resident gurus.

Sorry for the people who have to work and miss it. But some people work on Saturday and Tuesday night too.

Edit: strike that first part. On CBS, not espn.

What time of day is much less important than which day. Last year we played on the 21st. For Cal - who almost always is depending on freshmen to carry the load - having ample time to practice after the kids are done with finals is crucial. Last year we only had a day or two of Camp Cal, and all that. No coincidence in my mind that we lost when we usually don't. The 29th is fine with me, at whatever time.....

Most? Nah I wouldn't say "most" . Do you work retail or something ? Food industry? (Waiter, line cook etc)
