If cal is serious about a title he will land the two most prized recruits in his tenure IQ and Montgomery along with Juzang brooks Allen. It’s a pretty easy sell for those to to come back and lead a team that would catapult their draft stock. If these guys go for late second rd pick or undrwfted then cal imo is not doing his job. That is the worst outcome with these two players who have much more upside to display.

So if those things don’t happen which he ultimately has no control over, he’s not serious.

Idiotic.

He can advise EJ and IQ to return but that doesn't mean they will listen to him. They have minds of their own plus you never know what their family, friends and possibly ill intentioned creeps who want a handout will tell them. It's not Cal's fault if they choose to make a different decision.

If they leave for undrafted status or second round picks which will be late second rounders then yeah I believe it will be on cals inability or desire to “sell” not advise them to come back.

IQ is gone. Brooks will be IQ next year. EJ will be back and be Richards. Juzang will be solid as well. We will hang number 9.

Brooks, Juzang, Allen will be back. I feel there’s a really good chance that EJ will be back. And it’s not impossible that one of Hagans/Quickley come back, though I’m not counting on that. (I think Richards & Maxey are gone)

Even if we’re done, that absolutely leaves enough talent to compete for a final four.

But I think Cal adds a grad transfer (or 2). If he does and/or we get a surprise returnee, I think next year’s team is going to be upper echelon of what Cal’s had here.
Me too. My buddy from Grayson is going absolutely bonkers, talking about next year’s roster. I’ve been trying to tell him about it for a couple months. I guess he’s interested now and all in, after this season was basically cancelled.

Just curious where is IQ going? He’s no where on any draft board.
That’s what I’m saying. People also need to realize that IQ isn’t your typical, get to the NBA as fast as possible, type guy. He will go when he’s absolutely ready and when his stock is at its peak. He needs to prove he can play the PG position for that to happen.

Other teams may also return stunt players that will have normally left for the NBA… That said, I really hope EJ and Ashton are back for next season. Postseason canceled or not, they are not ready for the NBA now

How do you know he would push for them to stay? That's the problem.

If Cal doesn’t get any more beef in the middle, then go to the platoon and try to run teams ragged. Plenty of players to do so.
