I am not sure how else to interpret it. You said you would sign up for it? No?Really, that is how you interpreted my comment as dead players are a joke? Do you think I was possibly commenting on the topic of the thread, players and female recruiting staff attending a strip club together. To quote your guy, "C'mon man."
You are just being argumentative, sign up for players going to strip clubs with recruiting staff if it meant national championships. But, you would rather have us pure and bottom feeders, so be it.I am not sure how else to interpret it. You said you would sign up for it? No?
Cripes/ in that context- of course. You do realize you did not provide that very specific context in your post. You are just being argumentative, sign up for players going to strip clubs with recruiting staff if it meant national championships. I think he's talking about major lawsuitsNah, they'll go after the big boys, Vanderbilt.
Everyone but you seemed to get it, so maybe it is not me, but you? Either way, enjoy your day!Cripes/ in that context- of course. You do realize you did not provide that very specific context in your post.
Our players have never had a problem going to strip joints, btw.
A school sponsored event at a strip club?????
For the millionth time I'm not a PSU fan...geesh.It’s 18 to get into that club
And, Penn State fans are still at least 50 years away from being able to start threads like this questioning how other programs are run.
I may be mistaken, but you work there? correct? For the millionth time I'm not a PSU fan...geesh.
I said that to myself as soon as the story came out. It was obvious. And I agree.Being reported that a bunch of players, including the one who tragically died in car accident, were hanging out together with two UGa athletic staff in a strip club before the accident. What on Earth are departmental employees doing drinking with their players in a strip club? Anyone?
Yes and his favorite past time is talking to his students about how Rutgers sucks and only posts it here because he thinks “others might find it interesting”I may be mistaken, but you work there? correct?
I believe there was some sort of connection
High rate of speed, reckless driving, and a very strange hour result in an accident? After coming from a strip club? And there were no drug or alcohol tests administered? Did UGA fly in the responding officers in Tiger Woods' crash on the Concord to lock the scene down? The report I read said that she was driving 40MPH over the speed limit and no drug or alcohol tests were administered. The crash was at 2:45 AM. The players were 20 and 21 years old and the two "recruiting assistants" I believe were 26 and 24.
If this happened here the program would have a huge investigation and there would be calls for it to be shut down.
But it's the SEC and there will be a few days of "thoughts and prayers" and all will be forgotten.
I'm guessing that there will have to be a toxicology report with the autopsy.High rate of speed, reckless driving, and a very strange hour result in an accident? After coming from a strip club? And there were no drug or alcohol tests administered? Did UGA fly in the responding officers in Tiger Woods' crash on the Concord to lock the scene down?
If true- fits into what tge NC State coach told us during recruiting…High rate of speed, reckless driving, and a very strange hour result in an accident? After coming from a strip club? And there were no drug or alcohol tests administered? Did UGA fly in the responding officers in Tiger Woods' crash on the Concord to lock the scene down?
I think those of you who feel that way, including myself, appear to be in the minority on this board. It sounds like most of the posters are prepared to be perennial bottom feeders if it means we run a pure as driven snow program. Must come from our Puritan roots in the Northeast, doesn't seem to affect those people in the South.I'd give anything to be on UGA's level
I'd prefer they stay out of strip clubs, but kids are gonna be kids
To quote Al Davis... Just win baby
Right, life happens, very unfortunate but it can happen anywhereGeorgia is the two-time defending national champions, where do we sign up to be that type of joke?

You don't think the whole SEC operates under that program model? For that matter, probably the norm for most of the Big 12, Clemson, FSU, USC, Oregon, OSU, Michigan, PSU, etc.So UGA being able to recruit by showing a lockerroom full of players wearing 2 national championship rings is not enough.. they need strippers and female recruit hosts as well.... hmm.. maybe the strip club visits is how they got the players to win two NCs.
Guarantee we start winning and the amount of people on this board who care one iota about any of that stuff goes to zeroI think those of you who feel that way, including myself, appear to be in the minority on this board. Well, come to think of it.. wasn't there an issue here at Rutgers with a fight between the current girlfriend of a Rutgers player and a girl who was a recruiting hostess at one point? It was after a game and near the Hale center.. and a player's family got involved... I think it was a WR... but cannot think of the name. I'd imagine that programs that produce more NFL talent and wins championships where the whole state is rabid for them... I'd imagine that there would be girls who try to get involved with the programs to be close to the players for their own self-interests.You don't think the whole SEC operates under that program model? For that matter, probably the norm for most of the Big 12, Clemson, FSU, USC, Oregon, OSU, Michigan, PSU, etc.
All big schools do the same thingYou don't think the whole SEC operates under that program model? For that matter, probably the norm for most of the Big 12, Clemson, FSU, USC, Oregon, OSU, Michigan, PSU, etc.
LMAO.High rate of speed, reckless driving, and a very strange hour result in an accident? After coming from a strip club? And there were no drug or alcohol tests administered? Did UGA fly in the responding officers in Tiger Woods' crash on the Concord to lock the scene down?
That is f-Ed up by the school. Throw the dead girl under the bus.In non-surprising news, the vehicle shouldn’t have been in use at the time:
you're probably right and Georgia throwing her under the bus was because they feared being sued .and didn't care if she was made into as villain by using the car. as long as they weren't liable for any damages. That is f-Ed up by the school. Throw the dead girl under the bus.
I am pretty sure the girl working for the recruiting team did not steal the vehicle that is only to be used for recruiting.
Would bet that it has been used in this same way more times you can count.
Pretty much this exactly- I would even bet she was asked by someone she reported to, to drive the players and make sure they had a good time.you're probably right and Georgia throwing her under the bus was because they feared being sued .and didn't care if she was made into as villain by using the car. as long as they weren't liable for any damages.
Agree that I think there were many “out of scope” uses of however many vehicles that department had. They are going to pay something because it was in essence their vehicle. That is f-Ed up by the school. Throw the dead girl under the bus.

Yeah this is what I’m thinking. If school sponsored, the school will want this to go away quietly. There will be litigation by the parents against the University.
UGA looking for escape hatch. I’m sure complete nonsense. In non-surprising news, the vehicle shouldn’t have been in use at the time:
Wow what a screwed up place. Not much on the news down here about this.
Morning after it was on local news, then it's gone pretty silent.
But hey, according to some Rutgers "fans", this is all ok because Georgia won back to back NC's. And since we suck and we're bottom feeders in their words, we would be happy to be like them. After all this is the free board, lots of fake posers on here looking to do nothing more than put us down. Cracks me up. Always the same people, you can just tell reading their comments on every thread.Pretty much this exactly- I would even bet she was asked by someone she reported to, to drive the players and make sure they had a good time.
seems like there wasn't alcohol or drug testing conducted on LeCroy ,which sounds a little strange. But can't say that's not the way it's usually done when driver dies in accident.Agree that I think there were many “out of scope” uses of however many vehicles that department had. They are going to pay something because it was in essence their vehicle.
I don’t know whether the young women were encouraged chaperones/DD, just friends, or it possibly if even being a dating situation.
In the end, the fault lies with the driver. If she was under the influence, a shame nobody in the large group recognized the potential danger beforehand.
My understanding was she had to be extricated from the vehicle and hadn’t died on the scene. With efforts being trying to save her life, I don’t know what testing could have been done beyond getting a blood sample. If they did that, doesn’t sound strange to me. Maybe it is my ignorance of all the methods of testing.seems like there wasn't alcohol or drug testing conducted on LeCroy ,which sounds a little strange.
I never claimed she was drinking. I gave the three realistic possibilities of the overall situation for that night. I don’t know which is true. Also instead of drinking LeCroy might have been the designated driver and just was driving at an excessive speed that caused the accident.
See above.Drinking or not drinking when driving is just speculation without testing done for those things or anyone saying what happened .
Well, she was the driver. The photo and descriptions of damage indicate they were traveling at a ridiculous excessive speed. That’s really what mattered. But since the school is throwing her under the bus, I'll not help them until all the facts are posted by the police investigating this tragedy.
I call BS. You only went to see your brother? Sounds like something every married man would tell his wife. LOLNah. I don't know where the name for the place came from, but whenever I was there the dancers were all young ladies. I have never had any interest in strip clubs, but back then it was the only way I could see my brother.
I hate to say this but if she was still alive and there were serious injury or death to others, they would certainly take a blood sample. My understanding was she had to be extricated from the vehicle and hadn’t died on the scene. With efforts being trying to save her life, I don’t know what testing could have been done beyond getting a blood sample. If they did that, doesn’t sound strange to me. The vehicle not being used for its defined purpose is not in question. Was it a wink wink look the other way unofficial use? I don’t know, and haven’t claimed either way. It appears the school is claiming to know. The school at a minimum was lacking on vehicle sign out controls.
My morbid curiosity wonders about the circumstances behind the night.
