Being reported that a bunch of players, including the one who tragically died in car accident, were hanging out together with two UGa athletic staff in a strip club before the accident. What on Earth are departmental employees doing drinking with their players in a strip club? Anyone?

I admittedly haven't been to a strip club in decades, but my brother used to manage one on Rte. One...the Silver Fox Lounge...across the highway from Edison Lanes back in the day. I don't remember any women being there that weren't employees. Same with any other strip club I've ever visited.
I guess times have changed.
Wish we were a joke they just won 2 national championships in a row and recruit 5 stars at every position with a real rabid fanbase that does more than just discuss things. Young men going to a strip club is a very normal thing. Old guys go to them too and some girls enjoy those places as well.

They most likely had to be present in something like this. I would almost bet there were 10+ maybe much more at the strip club.
The girls involved, most likely were there as scenery as well as making sure they we all just having fun. I would lay money there were a number of real staffers on hand as well.
Mist likely, very normal after a game like thus.
The real lesson learned- no matter how big and tough, that seatbelt, even in the back seat will save your f-ing life!

I would expect players to be out at a strip club partying after winning a natty.
This is the kind of sausage-making in big time CFB most of us would rather not know about. However, since this is now out in the open, the UGA administration should be highly embarrassed by this.
Very bad judgment with drinking and driving, but not sure there is much more to see here beyond that. Tragic regardless.
Was it confirmed the driver was intoxicated? The staff might have been along to prevent that.
I didn't see that specifically, but one of the female staff who was at the club was driving. I am assuming alcohol was a factor here, but I could be wrong.

Nah. I don't know where the name for the place came from, but whenever I was there the dancers were all young ladies. I have never had any interest in strip clubs, but back then it was the only way I could see my brother.

Well, the local media seems to have focused on the fact that the deceased driver was using a rented car that was expressly for escorting recruits. They also have rules prohibiting staff from fraternizing with players. In the long run, it's more of an HR issue, which will probably put an end to these types of activities going forward due to the increased scrutiny.

Didn’t see that alcohol was a factor, just speed. Clipped curb on a turn causing truck to rotate.

Possibly. But strange she hit a curb at such a high rate of speed only a few minutes after leaving the club. Most people drive an entire lifetime and never encounter something like that fortunately. Could have been bad luck. Could have been she was distracted. Toxicology report will tell the story. Sad whatever the reason.
The report I read said that she was driving 40MPH over the speed limit and no drug or alcohol tests were administered. The crash was at 2:45 AM. The players were 20 and 21 years old and the two "recruiting assistants" I believe were 26 and 24.
If this happened here the program would have a huge investigation and there would be calls for it to be shut down.
But it's the SEC and there will be a few days of "thoughts and prayers" and all will be forgotten.
