HWT - Doucet with a 21-6 2nd period TF.

41-6 oSu
Dee wins 7 to 2 with 2 nice takedowns and just missed a jump over your opponent takedown at the end of the match. He got a double at the beginning of the match on the edge after working about 20 seconds to finish. His second takedown was real sweet where is opponent pushed forward and he makes a slick little movement where his opponent pushes by and Dee gets behind and takes him down. Bianche is a goer and very tough but Dee handles him. Facundo's guy took a good shot which Facundo defends. Facundo gets the takedown and puts his opponent on his back without much resistance. I thought it looked like his opponent had enough in the 1st period. Dopp loses. Merrill much more aggressive and got 4 takedowns, 2 reshots from an angle and 2 high crotches and on the second high crotch he put his opponent on his back with a half and pin was fast. Mismatch. Cody looked much better than in the beginning of the year. Doucet dominated on his feet and gets a tech. mismatch. The guys we expect to wrestle good did. Is Jax wrestling in an open this weekend?

A couple points

- Thank you Seniors!!

- We either need to wear leggings full time or just wrestle Little Rock all the time. That was a shellacking 😂

- It was a bow and arrow fest!!! And I loved it

- Sparkplug was throwing sparks

-Ronnie Ram had to be the OW imo. Hellacious pace and the kid was just brutal

-Don’t ever let Vega put legs in on me.

- Landon really is a psycho killer. So cold hearted and surgical

- Dee has now had back to back outings where he pushed his offense early and that’s great to see

- Alex just keeps stacking good days. He’s finishing better and better. With his defense he’s really starting to look dangerous.

- Panda is such a fan favorite. It kind of surprises me with his style but GIA loves him and he turned it loose on that kid tonight. Kid just gives it.

- So proud of Douce. The kid made so much progress and while it’s still tough for him to get to his offense against the top few guys there is no argument that he wants it and is doing everything he can to bring it and live out his dreams in an OSU singlet

It has been really fun to watch guys improve this year. They have jump levels in spurts and different guys at different times. There were some guys who made jumps last year but there were others who seemed like they stayed the same. I attribute that to it being DT's first year and coaching a lot of guys who were super seniors. If they can improve as much between now and NCAAs as they have between National Duals and today, we could be in for a special tournament.

I remember Hamiti in an interview after Nationals talking about buying in to coach Taylor. Dean said it took him awhile to buy in but once he did, his wrestling world changed. He also said that it was obvious that 2 guys (transfers) bought in and 2 didn’t.
I was thinking about this statement last night watching the team. I didn’t see a starter that didn’t look bought in to Taylor’s system. The competition was not good but all of our guys did what they should have done, score takedowns and look for bonus points. I bet Little Rock wrestlers have sore legs today as this appeared to be “legs” week in practice.

I watched on ESPN + and I am a big OSU homer, but that ref was very quick to call a fall. Two of those were not even close to contact. Merrill's was at least two inches away. He might have gotten it anyway, but did not have it yet.

That’s kind of a surprising comment for Hamiti to make. Obviously Amine didn’t buy in but I would have thought Fish was bought in—albeit being a more limited wrestler overall. Unless there’s a different transfer that year that I’m just blanking on

I don't recall Hamiti saying 2 guys didn't buy in
