I watch a lot of college basketball and I have watched 20-30 guards I would draft before TyTy- no idea how he is ranked so high- not quick, not a great athlete, not a great handler of the bball so not sure what scouts see in him- he 100% should come back
We couldn’t even play him against St. Peter’s. Think about that. This guy is a projected lottery pick and was a liability on the floor against a bunch of guys who are not even going to be playing basketball anymore in 2 years.

My point exactly- who is drafting him ??

Not to be mean, cause I really like the kid, but I'm at 50/50 if another year would ultimately help or hurt his draft stock. Especially if you figure in the coach.
I see your point. I think it may come down to where are TEAMS telling him he might go in the draft (not some random internet link).
But I would love to see him back as our starting PG next year (not Wheeler).

I remember you saying that to me when I said there was a 0% chance Jackson returned to UK last year.

sure glad I was wrong 😉
Haha I mean you still were wrong lol. I stated multiple times that is extremely unlikely the first round players come back. But to say it’s impossible isn’t correct lol

Just another absolutely puzzling and infuriating part of Cal’s system. Every year a few guys tease coming back even though anybody with a brain knows their as good as gone. And I don’t care who comes back, we have no shot with Cal in March. Simple as that so who cares?

He needs to, watching these guards play in the NCAA really put his level of play in perspective.

TyTy absolutely needs another year. Will an NBA team take him high, even mid to late lotto right now? Yes, but that same team will drop him like hot cat **** if he doesn’t perform. There’s no excuse to bolt before you’re ready anymore with the NIL in place.

But dumbshit will meet with him and shred his scholarship.

I want Tyty back but I wouldn’t get excited about the word usage here from his dad . He can leave and this is still Year 1 in the books .

If we have TyTy, Sharpe, and Wallace, we aren't losing very much next year.

Not to mention Wheeler.
For us to be our best next year, Wheeler needs to come off the bench for 10-15 mpg. Unless he stops shooting it like a girl pushing it to the rim.

PG-Tyty
SG-Wallace
SF-Sharpe
PF-Collins (yes I am saying now he beats out Toppin, and I correctly predicted his struggles this year)
C-Oscar
primary bench- Fredrick, Toppin, some PG/CG

That would be a very good group, although unlikely.

Lol cmon . Does anyone seriously think a projected lotto pic comes back?
Projections by some writers right now are worth nothing.
Lets see where TEAMS (GMs, Coaches) are telling him where they think he will go in 2 months. That is all that matters.

The goal should not be to get drafted. It should be to put yourself in a position to have a career in the NBA, not a 3-yr contract. He doesn't want to be Skal, he should want to be Quickley. In fact Quickley may be a good comparison for Tyty.
