In a 3-4 maybe. But that weight sure sounds like nt down the road since only a freshman. Hopefully it's good weight.315 lbs. He still at DE?
Yea, if he was 6'4" or under at that weight. He’s 6’6”, reminds me of Stoltenberg’s Measurables. Think he’ll stay at DE, seems that they have their “type” for nose
I used to think that NT needed to be in the 6'2" range. And that was probably true back 10-15 years ago, when the Centers in college football were all 6'1"-6'3". But now you rarely see a center shorter than 6'3" and there are some as tall as 6'5". I think you can have NT as tall as 6'4" or maybe 6'5"
And not all 6-4/6-5 guys are the same. Given my torso/leg length ratio, if I were 6-4 I would be playing NT.I used to think that NT needed to be in the 6'2" range. Who in the NFL has a NT that tall worth a ****? Just asking, not trying to start crap. Ngata was the prototypical noseI used to think that NT needed to be in the 6'2" range. Vince Wilfork is the prototypical nose. 6’2” 325.

This. That guy clogged up the middle like nobody else in his generation. He gave a numbers advantage to the defense every play because he took on 2 olinemen every snap. And it wasn't even necessarily because they were double teaming him, it was because he engaged the line that way.Vince Wilfork is the prototypical nose. 6’2” 325.
I really hope he stays at DE. 6'6 is hard for a NG to win the leverage battle.
In fact i expect him to reshape his 315 to around 305 and look rock solid by the time he says playing time.
Holla
Trying to remember his measurables when we recruited him... has he been slacking off since he signed on the dotted line? He didn’t look like he had a lot of bad weight...He's got a lot of bad weight needs to slim down or he's a back-up DE, maybe a rotating NT?
Not sure what Duval envisions here.
And he could. In a 3-4 the DEs should be very mobile DL. If you have good olbs......I really hope he stays at DE. 6'6 is hard for a NG to win the leverage battle.

Or am I thinking of someone else?
That's the other dude I was thinking about. Good call.Vince Wilfork is the prototypical nose. 6’2” 325.
