Look, I have known Pres. Ramsey since the 70's when I was a grad student at UK. I continue to believe that he is, at heart, a good person. This is so much more a Petino issue than a Ramsey issue that I can barely fathom the depth of feeling.

remember when pat forde had that call-in with espn and said he thinks there's a chance uk could experience taint with cal here. remember that? well...

[roll]
it was more than one call in, and he said more than "there's a chance". He was on virtually every ESPN show on April 1, 2009, both TV and radio, lambasting the hire. "I can't believe Mitch would make this hire" he said, as though he and Barnhart are on a first name basis. Wrote a scathing article saying the hire would prove to be a bad April Fools' Day joke.

And that's really it in a nutshell. UK hiring Cal was an April Fool's Day joke, while IU hiring Tom Crean was "a home run hire".......

and it drove Forde's Lover Rick Pitino to insanity,Cheating with Whores, and cost him his job because he knew when UK hired a winner UL would fall back to the pos mid-major they always were and would play 2nd fiddle to UK

when is ESPN going to set up camp and starting doing their jobs...I mean good grief...this is investigative and sports journalism gold...a C student intern fresh from J school could do a half assed job and make their career with all this...

If there was ever a case for "lack of institutional control" it is the University of Louisville...

According to Karen Sypher and Katina Powell UL has more control problems than just "Institutional"

The NCAA has had an easy "Escape" goat delivered on a platter to take the focus off of UNC*****. I can't see ESPN and the NCAA not taking advantage of this low hanging fruit. "Look how much we punished Louisville!" "Isn't this much worse than 20 years of mere academic fraud?" I can just hear their rationalization.

I can't see them punishing Uvel like they should. Uvel won with players that were receiving impermissible benefits so a couple of seasons wins and banners should be voided. They will not want to void a Uvel NC season because then there would be no excuse to not do it to UNC
