Trump's tax cut....???

Yep, trump supporters are some of the dumbest people on the planet. Many people tried to warn them that trump wasn’t looking out for them, only the super wealthy. Unfortunately, many of them are so dumb they will turn around and continue to support the con man who is sticking it to them.
I discussed this was about to happen early January. People that are interested in the truth are going to be bitching louder and louder.
You make more than the average American. So do I but I'm still a Lib on certain issues and a fat *** tax cut for the Top 10% was stupid and now he want to repeal the estate tax and further help the Top 10% including his brood of stooges he bred.
I doubt that most people in that article actually had their taxes go up. I bet most had their withholdings go down too much during the year. There will be a decent amount of "middle class" taxpayers that see a tax increase, but the vast majority of taxpayers received a tax cut.

Folks who expected refunds will have to cut checks. Thats going to hit support more than shooting somebody on 5th ave.
Helped or hurt? I assume it helped you. I'm an S corp, but anybody who has a business has paid matching taxes for his employees and my own taxes. It's still a lot no matter how you slice it
Hurt badly. I went from an effective tax rate of 10.6% in 2017 to approximately 14.3%. I'm not able to finalize them yet but I'm not off by more than .1%
But I'm not complaining for myself. I'm one of the few that believe in a tax increase for all in my tax bracket and above. I am against this tax cut that gives away so much to the very wealthy, it is hurting our economy long term, and the working class were lied to by the president and GOP in order to get their support and now they are realizing it.

I guess having more people, excuse, a lot more people working is a bad thing. Government spending is the problem.

4. They don't understand the complexities of the tax code and conflate refund with taxes.
Saying he didn't change his withholdings (ie his W4) does NOT mean the tax tables held enough money out during the year. Again, there will be losers with this tax cut, but the vast majority of taxpayers see a tax cut.

That people see how bad Trump policies are and react by not supporting him? You got me!
One complaintant said, we depended on that refund to jump start their year, I wonder how much more they were getting in their paycheck and if they had enough sense to save? I doubt if these people are republicans.
Here is a story that happened on Tuesday. I'm sure it would be a very similar conversation if had with some of these people here that spout off on how much the Trump tax cut saved them.
At work, a bunch of people were talking about their tax situation and one of my colleagues that is very similar to me on the subject was participating with these people. Mostly same stuff of people claiming how much money the Tax Cut was giving them and how great it was and blah, blah, blah. My colleague was asking the similar questions that Coop and I and some others say on this board in order to see if they really understand and of course, these people didn't have a clue. Very similar here. So I spoke up to test their true knowledge on a very superficial thing and said "So, how do you guys like the reformatted 1040form?" Not a single person making claims had a clue what I was talking about. Very obvious not knowing that answer, they don't have a clue on their taxes and are just parroting BS. A few immediately admitted they haven't actually done their taxes but are approximating or their tax guy told them or a few other stupid excuses were given.

Are you happy that the country is doing better now that the anti american policies of the former president have been most decimated? There's only one explanation why the country was floundering along, Obama and his america hating policies. My only complaint, govt hasn't been cut by 10%.
Disprove what I said. Somebody posts on Twitter and you can believe what they said? I have the belief that I would rather have my money every month than give it to the govt to waste, interest free loan, and then get a refund and think I'm actually getting something good back from our govt.

Could be? The poors have been flocking to the republican party for a decade. It's why republicans are pro tariffs and anti cutting government spending now.

By the way, I'm for cutting govt, welfare, medicaid, disability, all programs designed from the get go to provide votes for the dems. As for China, using the WTO and arresting their executives is a good start on combating them. OR having a, oh IDK some sort of free trade partnership with our trans pacific allies that neighbor China. We'll call TPP for short.
