I read that as an assistant to the actual WR coach.
Burrow should honestly pull an Eli and refuse to play for the Bengals. No one can turn the Bengals around with their incompetent ownership.
Eli refused to play for the Chargers. So you're both right?Could have sworn it was Elway refusing to play with the Colts when Frank Kush was the head coach..
But carry on..

This is a big step down for him. Quit or we'll fire you.New WR coach for the Bengals.
i thought that was a "John Elway".........but whatever, they still don't win,Burrow should honestly pull an Eli and refuse to play for the Bengals. No one can turn the Bengals around with their incompetent ownership.
Apparently Texas A&M is a connection between Taylor and Walters. Taylor was a graduate assistant for the Aggies when Walters coached their wide receivers. So a guy who was a GA while Walters was a position coach at TAMU, is now an NFL head coach and Walters boss. I still don't get Taylor's ascension through the NFL ranks to that role, but more power to him. And to think it all started because he dated (and later married) Mike Sherman's daughter.

Goff has never been elite. Todd Gurley was a big reason he had so much success in 2018 . Todd Gurley was having One of the best years of any NFL back ever until the playoffs, when Goff and McVay got to cute with the pass in the Super Bowl!nepotism is everything in the NFL. But it was his time with Sean McVay that landed him the HC job. Say what you want about Zac but Goff liked like crap in 2017 & some what in 2019. Taylor was with him in 2018 when he looked elite
Taylor’s quick rise to HC in the NFL was seriously due to him being at the right place at the right time... the NFL is very much a copy cat league and teams were all looking to catch lightening in a bottle like the Rams did, Taylor was I believe the rams OC at the time, and the success that was being had by young offensive minded coaches blinded the owners, they think/ thought Tayler could do the same since he worked under mcVey (not sure on that spelling)Apparently Texas A&M is a connection between Taylor and Walters. Thing is, he wasn't even the OC, he was the QB coach in 2018 and WR coach in 2017. I would think a team would want their HC to at least have experience as an OC (or DC) in the NFL.Taylor’s quick rise to HC in the NFL was seriously due to him being at the right place at the right time... the NFL is very much a copy cat league and teams were all looking to catch lightening in a bottle like the Rams did, Taylor was I believe the rams OC at the time, and the success that was being had by young offensive minded coaches blinded the owners, they think/ thought Tayler could do the same since he worked under mcVey (not sure on that spelling)

that’s right, I couldn’t remember if he was the OC or not wasn’t 100% sure.... but I agree I’d think they would have wanted to had seen him be an OC before taking the head job... but I think they seen the progression that was made with Goff, and credited it to Taylor... I don’t know, I felt that they reached at the time and was actually a little upset that Taylor took that for his first HC gig... I feel that will be a career killer for him...Thing is, he wasn't even the OC, he was the QB coach in 2018 and WR coach in 2017. He could be our future head coach....he'll flame out with the bungles next year, get a nice OC job in about 3 years...and we should be ready for a new coach in about 6 years...we are into nepotism so...Taylor was a good Husker and has been a good ambassador for us. Really hope he succeeds, either at Cincy or elsewhere!
Being Sherman's son-in-law didn't hurt him. Playing QB for BC didn't hurt him either. BOTH of those guys are widely respected for their offensive minds by most people in the NFL. The bottomline is that he's had great timing, works hard and no doubt interviews well. Top shelf guy. His brother Press is the QB coach and passing game coordinator for the Eagles. Bright guys.Taylor’s quick rise to HC in the NFL was seriously due to him being at the right place at the right time... the NFL is very much a copy cat league and teams were all looking to catch lightening in a bottle like the Rams did, Taylor was I believe the rams OC at the time, and the success that was being had by young offensive minded coaches blinded the owners, they think/ thought Tayler could do the same since he worked under mcVey (not sure on that spelling)

He's an assistant to an assistant coach... big step down.
