I'm really not privy to what his academic "issues" are but I can't remember the last time we had a guy not be able to get eligible if he put in any kind of effort at all.
There's a rumor that we might have lost a WR who played for us this past year. I won't repeat his name because I don't know if it was just somebody blowing smoke. With the coaching turnover there are going to be transfers after the spring depth chart comes out. We've only got a couple of early enrollees so I think we've got until fall to make room for new players.
SIAP that Martin is the one who may be leaving. One of my and dingle’s favorites, and also one of the more consistent WR we have.
I hope this rumor is not true, as I’ve only seen mention of it one time on this board.
however, trading basically anyone on the team for the LA 100M champ is a huge win, so no tears over spilt milk here.

Exactly, the kid wasn’t flunking out @ LSU. Just some technicality on a class or grade. Kid is here to return kicks and catch a few passes.

At times it seemed like he was Martinez's favorite target, but then he was hurt this year and Martinez found different favorites (Toure). He's a good player but not sure how much we'd miss him. I certainly hope that Joseph is finally the guy that can perform the miracle of getting our most talented receivers on the field instead of the guys that "practice right."
Yeah, I think there is a lot of talent at WR with some of the young guys being "really" good. Martin looked ok 2 years ago, but this year with him being hurt, it was kind of just blah. I'm not concerned about WR and if Martin moves on, he moves on.
we should quite literally never have kids who are academically ineligible. there are staffers for that.
I, personally, do not care if a single football player attends a single class in their years at NU. their "grades" should never be something that interferes with their availability on the field.
If Joseph hold true to what he supposedly told the receiver room, they will have to put in the work in practice in order to get on the field. Potential is potential. Nothing else.
Why again do we think this dude is going to come to Nebraska? Just because he played for Mickey or is there actually any source that says he's interested? FWIW Mickey wasn't his primary or secondary recruiter
I think you are going to see Hardy/Neville/Grimes a lot more than you think. Martin might be the odd guy out.
We could, but they will have to beat out some guys. Depth and competition is a good thing.

look at these dudes! WR was - by far - our highest-graded position group this year. these guys took AM from being the worst deep ball passer in the B1G 2 straight years to one of the best without getting even 1% more accurate.

Martin can leave. I was done with him after the Wisconsin game when he quit on a route that ended up as a INT. Palmer is a huge upgrade over him.
Zach Evans, who has already played at TCU for two years, committed to Old Mississippi. Ajay Allen, a senior in high school from Louisiana and a TCU commit, is mulling offers from other schools, including Nebraska.
He's listed in the student directory already and there has been some hinting at this from people in the know on RSS.
