Let's say Foster stays. Hard for me to think Blackwell comes when there's already four guys for two spots. Just my opinion, but if we get Blackwell, I think we don't keep Caleb.

I do agree we need a solid big. Not some guy from some school that averaged 1.8 points, 2.4 rebounds in 10 minutes of action either. I don't think our 2 freshmen bigs are ready for the physicality they're about to see.
I don’t disagree but it sure seems like foster is staying and they’re all in on Blackwell.

Yeah give me Blackwell even if that means no Foster. Blackwell can go out and get you 20-25 almost on any given night. I love Caleb and him doing what he did in the Sweet 16 will always go down as an unbelievable moment, but Blackwell gives us that scoring we really need. Just my opinion

As much as I hate to admit it, I agree. I love Foster, so that’s what makes it harder to admit.

Guys:

There are 4 guards spots, 4 of Cayden, Foster, Evans, Rippey Jr, Blackwell will occupy the 4 spots.
Not trying to be argumentative, but we have 2 guard spots, maybe 3 in small doses. That’s Cayden, Rippey, Howard, Foster? and possibly Blackwell.
You’re also asking two 5 star incoming freshmen (Rippey and Howard) to put Duke above themselves. Maybe it can work.

Maybe and I agree with you Mac . Maybe these freshman want a NC at all cost and want to go to war with this team . Could Duke be looking at its first recruiting class under Scheyer that wants everyone to return and hit the court ? Maybe, and I don’t know but just maybe these recruits are team first. I’d like to see a group of players come out with a purpose 1-9 .

no offense taken at all Mac, you are good.

I look back to the 23-24 team where Roach, Proctor, McCain, and Foster all split time starting throughout the season.

I Firmly Believe Duke is a program where time on the court is Earned.

I believe the only difference with this comparison is the 23-25 team started 3 guards. Next year team would hopefully have Sarr starting at the 3 spot

Stojakovic returning to Illinois. Let's get Mr. Blackwell.
Blackwell will be a Bruin, he wants to play in LA where it’s warm and hot women everywhere: ). Duke can go get Diop or another $5m dollar Center. But things are Fluid.i want you all to embrace this word…

I see we are picking up predictions for PF from Blemont. 6’9 kid who looks like he can really rebound. I assume a depth move but I wonder if that takes us out for Graves.

I’ve not seen him play but I’m thinking he’s a practice player with a few minutes here and there.

Most noticeable stat to me is his 43% FT.

I don’t think this has anything to do with Graves…

I'm not complaining about who Duke has coming in, even if the only thing I know about 3 of them is they're 5 stars. It seems hard though that a really good big will want to come and back up Pat. Now if Duke does get a really good big from the portal, and signs a good shooting guard/small forward, what does that do to your incoming freshmen, or even Caleb?

Is this right as of now?
Pat, Williams, Meyer, Sarr, Wilkens, Caleb, Cayden, Rippey, and Howard

Yeah I’d guess depth too, don’t think he’s a regular contributor but he was 1st team all conference so he’s not Jack Scott type of guy

Wasn't Braylon Mullins late lottery or something close? Wtf does Hurley do to get guys to come back year after year?
Just my opinion here, but I think it’s two fold. First, no one in UConn’s system is made “the priority.” Hurley runs a system designed for multiple options to be available. Mullins struggled at times during the season. But, he did lose freshmen in back to back seasons to the nba, and lost Reibe? to the portal.

Second, Hurley told Mullins he would profit more by coming back for a 2nd season.
