With the very highly rated freshman Williams coming in, we still looking for a starting PF?

Yeah I don't think the staff sees Williams as a starting PF. With his shooting, I think he's more of a hybrid SF/PF. Think he'll get 25 plus minutes between the 3/4 spots.

Curious. Would this mean Williams could play some at the three? Suppose Wilkins stays and Duke is still going after Graves that is a very loaded front court ( Big Pat, Meyers, Drew, Williams and Wilkins with possibly Graves).

Yeah, unless he's a bust, or takes a while to get acclimated, I don't see a scenario where he comes off the bench, I could be wrong, but on paper, he looks like a very good sidekick to Pat.
If I understand how everything works, I’d expect Foster to enter the portal so he’ll have the option to leave if Blackwell commits to Duke at a later date….
I might be in the minority or even crazy , but what’s not to say Foster isn’t better set coming of the bench his senior year with no pressure and being the leader for Rippey when they get on the court ? If Duke lands Blackwell the starting pg is a toss up between Cayden/Rippey and the starting sg would be Blackwell. Foster coming off the bench healthy is instant offense and a secondary ball handler leaving no real drop off except maybe shooting between the primary and secondary guard unit .
Foster coming off the bench is ideal. The question is does he want to?

He's very slight of build and not all classes are equal. Yall may be right, but everything I'm reading indicates Jon is looking for a 4 whether it be Graves or the St Marys kid.

There's the Iowa St big who is an elite shooter as well, but haven't read much about him and Duke other than a snippet here and there.
For sure thin but he’s the #3 overall recruit- he’s not coming off the bench. I said the same about Rippey who’s #10. It’s only April so playing The Who’s starting and not is certainly risky, but Duke still puts a lot of emphasis on HS recruiting and these top 10 kids come to start and log heavy minutes.
