How many more portal transfers are we expecting? Not sure how many more we can absorb given our relatively low departures (compared to other programs).
Very well said and listing all the OL that has been in the system with a very good Oline coach who now has coachable talent.
The constant comments about the receiver room are more a product of the QB room than anything. From a coaching perspective it is more about what the players do between now and spring ball on their own than spring ball and then again between spring ball and fall camp. To have QB's who can spend time throwing the ball to receivers and running routes on their own because the team has healthy stable of QB's able to throw and run in the offseason is HUGE. Completely different dynamics when a receiver has a feel for the velocity and placement that these QB's have. If a QB really leads a guy they know to run hard, if a guy is more on the money, they are looking for the ball on their body. With the players knowing Lester's system, routes, blocking etc. it gives the new guys a jump start with QB's, receivers and tight ends helping the new players without coaches around.
Jump start that offense for spring ball. That is up to the players.
Defense just never concerned with the coaches on that side of the ball. Is the season here yet ....

Correct. And the winter portal closes on Friday (Jan. 16) except for players who teams are still competing in the playoffs. Also, grad transfers can enter any time, though I’m not certain if that is still the rule.
They wont be doing a portal transfer after Jan. 16th. No more of players leaving after spring practice unless I guess they sit out a year
Myslinski sounds like he’s got an inside track on an interior position. RT is probably the biggest question mark but I’d guess they’re already comfortable with Doztler and Algeyer from the sounds of it.
Grad transfer rules are now the same as everyone else (at least until someone sues about them and they change it again).
Myslinsky was recruited, way back when we got him to flip his Texas commitment, as a center.
Yes, I think that’s where he’ll end up. I think they like Leighton Jones there too. I wouldn’t be surprised if Leighton wins the Center job with how much the value stability there and wouldn’t have to start over there again in’27.
Are we done in the portal? No more DT's? Coach Bell had mentioned Kennedy coming on. Could Chineke or Epenesa be moving inside?

I have to believe that both of these are still being worked on.
DT is still a must and needs to be a proven guy.
A proven DT and a P and I think we are good to go. Super excited to see this offense in the spring and fall!
Looks like Iowa is in on a punter from Australia, really would be great to hear them get a proven DT though.
I didn't include him because I hadn't heard if his request had been approved. I believe this would be his 6th year? Not that it seems to matter these days, unless it Iowa of course....
Agree. If they make these two things happen, then 2026 could be an exciting season.
