Screwed? It would take 3-4 injuries before we’re not a top 25 team. The only guy we can’t lose if we want a title is Tre Jones. We are thin at guard.
We would still be really good. I don’t think we could lose any of Tre, RJ, Cam, or Zion and have a chance at the title.
I thought Zion may have been dispensable, but no, he’s something else. Him and RJ basically have been the offense for 2 games. I love the Jack White spot up corner 3’s.

Javin’s first 3 attempt of the year was wide open and didn’t draw iron.

Javin and Bolden need sports psychologists because both guys have plenty of skills that somehow disappear come game time. I know it must be frustrating to them to do so well in practice only to make mistake after mistake in games. They pass the eye test, they hustle, but it’s like Yakety Sax starts playing as soon as you pass them the ball.

Haven't watched yet, but in boldens regard, I think he needs touches....no touches equals no chance to look a certain way imo

Coach k’s quote on Bolden... yikes
What was his quote?

I thought we saw some more really great glimpses of how good this team can be despite missing 3 key guys. Couldn’t be more impressed with Zion and all of the aspects of his game. It was also great to see Joey gaining confidence and getting hot down the stretch. Javin seems to be doing exactly what he should be and giving us energy and being all over the place 5 points, 5 reb, 2 assists, 2 blocks and 2 steals in 23min. It was surprising to see Ques play so little, the only thing I could think is that with the injuries setting him back the last two years the coaches don’t want to risk overplaying him this early in the year.

K drew up the 1st 2 plays of the game for him and it wasn’t pretty.
Look at it this way... last season, if he would’ve drawn up 2 plays for Grayson and Grayson missed a layup and a jumper what would’ve happened? He would’ve gotten 10-15 more looks throughout the game. That just doesn’t happen for post players in this day and age. He’ll be fine.

I think we know show. But the performance from Bolden for me personally was pretty disappointing to see. To the fact that after the first quarter, I'm sure he didn't play another minute and based on what he brought the first 2 times down the floor, not sure he should have. I know it's not the team we will have, but we have had him and for the first 2 games, he had not shown up. Vrank got all the burn at the 5 when Jav wasn't playing it. Looks like K sent him a message tonight.
You think our starting pg may help Bolden a bit? Ya know get him easy buckets and such. **** me, another gameday thread I got involved in. Joke’s on me!

Nice to see contributions from some of other players, because we need their contributions. Javin, Jack and Joey each collected 5 rbs. In addition Baker displayed a solid touch from three and had 11pts, White had 5 assists and two steals, in addition to his own 6 pts. Also, Vrank had 8pts/8 bds.

I know we were clearly playing an inferior opponent, but these solid numbers can do nothing but bolster the confidence of our support players.

Imo I think Bolden and K need to forget the touches, and just focus on rebounding, defense, and hustling . He’ll never imo have that back to the basket game that can over shadow the rest of his game anyway, so focus on what gets paid in the NBA, best for the team, and just forget the touches crap. Imo it’s a wasted play giving him that opportunity when all the guys are healthy anyways. A drive and dish to him is all the offense he needs to be looking for. Take the JD role and run with it . I think that’s what K wants in the end. Is Bolden willing to accept that??? If he was Bagley or Jahlil I’d beg to differ. As for the people comparing JD to Bolden what in God’s name are you watching? JD has played good. Or far better then Bolden. A far to early worry for me is FT shooting. Anybody got the percentages for both games? R.J. has been bad imo, and his games going to translate to a lot of FTs. Zion too. That’s what I’m worried about thus far . FT shooting/ shooting in general. R.J. has been a little trigger happy, but not getting into that, and why.... Anyway it’s early, things will change , who knows what will happen. To early to jump to conclusions. I’m happy everybody escaped injury free. Not getting into the other positives, they’re obvious ! Lol. Can’t wait to see how Tre can facilitate this team. Alots going to change when we’re healthy.

Unfortunately, Bolden may be just flat lost in this type of run and gun scenario. We may end up to fast for the style he needs to play. Tre, Cam, RJ and Zion are going to be wide open, is he feeling like he's just log jammimg the play? I'll say it now, personally, now that I see what this could wind up, Javin will probably end up a better fit for center than Bolden, simply for the fact, it's gonna take an extreme motor just to keep up with our team this year , and Ques doesn't have that. And I don't think it's going to hurt our rebounding situation simply because of how mobile RJ and Zion are in the paint. This could all change with the addition of Tre Jones, but I'm doubting it, hell, he may even speed the team up more.

Agree, maybe it could get more of our guys some burn too. Well it will.... Not writing him off yet though....I’m about where you stand though honestly .
