My way too early over-reaction after 80 minutes of August basketball....if RJ or Zion get hurt, we’re screwed.
Screwed? It would take 3-4 injuries before we’re not a top 25 team. The only guy we can’t lose if we want a title is Tre Jones. We are thin at guard. My way too early over-reaction after 80 minutes of August basketball....if RJ or Zion get hurt, we’re screwed.
We would still be really good. I don’t think we could lose any of Tre, RJ, Cam, or Zion and have a chance at the title.Screwed? It would take 3-4 injuries before we’re not a top 25 team. The only guy we can’t lose if we want a title is Tre Jones. We are thin at guard.
Javin and Bolden need sports psychologists because both guys have plenty of skills that somehow disappear come game time. I know it must be frustrating to them to do so well in practice only to make mistake after mistake in games. They pass the eye test, they hustle, but it’s like Yakety Sax starts playing as soon as you pass them the ball.We would still be really good. I don’t think we could lose any of Tre, RJ, Cam, or Zion and have a chance at the title.
I thought Zion may have been dispensable, but no, he’s something else. Him and RJ basically have been the offense for 2 games. I love the Jack White spot up corner 3’s.
Javin’s first 3 attempt of the year was wide open and didn’t draw iron.
K drew up the 1st 2 plays of the game for him and it wasn’t pretty.Haven't watched yet, but in boldens regard, I think he needs touches....no touches equals no chance to look a certain way imo
What was his quote?Coach k’s quote on Bolden... yikes
Look at it this way... last season, if he would’ve drawn up 2 plays for Grayson and Grayson missed a layup and a jumper what would’ve happened? He would’ve gotten 10-15 more looks throughout the game. That just doesn’t happen for post players in this day and age. He’ll be fine.K drew up the 1st 2 plays of the game for him and it wasn’t pretty.
You think our starting pg may help Bolden a bit? Ya know get him easy buckets and such. **** me, another gameday thread I got involved in. Joke’s on me!I think we know show. But the performance from Bolden for me personally was pretty disappointing to see. To the fact that after the first quarter, I'm sure he didn't play another minute and based on what he brought the first 2 times down the floor, not sure he should have. I know it's not the team we will have, but we have had him and for the first 2 games, he had not shown up. Vrank got all the burn at the 5 when Jav wasn't playing it. Looks like K sent him a message tonight.
Positive guessWhat was his quote?
I thought we saw some more really great glimpses of how good this team can be despite missing 3 key guys. Couldn’t be more impressed with Zion and all of the aspects of his game. It was also great to see Joey gaining confidence and getting hot down the stretch. Javin seems to be doing exactly what he should be and giving us energy and being all over the place 5 points, 5 reb, 2 assists, 2 blocks and 2 steals in 23min. It was surprising to see Ques play so little, the only thing I could think is that with the injuries setting him back the last two years the coaches don’t want to risk overplaying him this early in the year.
Agree, maybe it could get more of our guys some burn too. Well it will.... Not writing him off yet though....I’m about where you stand though honestly .Unfortunately, Bolden may be just flat lost in this type of run and gun scenario. We may end up to fast for the style he needs to play. Tre, Cam, RJ and Zion are going to be wide open, is he feeling like he's just log jammimg the play? I'll say it now, personally, now that I see what this could wind up, Javin will probably end up a better fit for center than Bolden, simply for the fact, it's gonna take an extreme motor just to keep up with our team this year , and Ques doesn't have that. And I don't think it's going to hurt our rebounding situation simply because of how mobile RJ and Zion are in the paint. This could all change with the addition of Tre Jones, but I'm doubting it, hell, he may even speed the team up more.
