I don't have a score prediction.....would love to see Bolden come out and have a game that builds his confidence and makes him hungry to consistently play at a high level
Thats fairly close to the line! Duke is a 43 pt favorite in the Six O'Clock tipoff on ESPN PLUS.

Bolden, I just don't know what to say about him. They went to him the first 2 times down the court and he looked like he has never played basketball in his life. WTF was K talking about with him being one of the best big's in the country? The tallest guy is like 6'7.

Exactly unless he transfers. Dude need to get it together and it should start with these practice teams before the real games starts.

Trae is going to be key. Love RJ but he looks to shoot first second and third, Zion has been more impressive to me because he doesn’t really force anything, is a very good passer, and looks to score within the offense, RJ is more of a ball stopper let me score one on one in the Jabari Parker Mold. A pg next to him will show his true potential
No I'm not kidding about he needs to get it together! The transfer was a side comment to duke fan comment saying he won't be going anywhere.

I realize who we are playing, but Zion has already squashed all the talk about being one dimensional. He is a flat out stud and a star.
Not speaking for anybody else, but I know it. Another thing I know is Bolden is looking like Bolden again regardless of what month it is.
Joey Baker DOES NOT need to redshirt. He can make contributions this year.
I know one thing, Dude has a nice shot. Just need to get more confidence. After he shot and missed his first 3 pointer, K took him out and talked to him for a min. Since then, he been playing and shooting great.
I agree with him having the skills to contribute this year.. but I just don’t see any chance of him getting any real minutes this year unless there is an injury or 2..
It’s almost a done deal that Zion & R.J. will be getting 30+ minutes a game.. Cam & Jones will probably be very similar.. Javin is going to get a good bit of minutes (probably at the 5).. AOC will be getting minutes.. Jack White is looking real good.. Goldwire will get some backup PG minutes.. I just don’t see Baker getting much at all..
But I’m loving his size and skill set.. if he does redshirt, he will be an amazing freshman for us next year.

You need to realize that a lot of these guys have been in the duke program for 2-3 years already and can’t contribute on simple plays. Our bench looks pretty terrible at times ( which may not be entirely fair since Zion rj are so good) . Obviously the Sophs are still pretty young, but I expected more shine from our juniors and vrank. They’re looking better towards the end and that’s great but Toronto looks as if they’ve given up. I want to see them do more and hopefully it’s just a work in progress.
If we have multiple injuries throughout the season, he will be a contributing factor. That’s really the main reason I hope he doesn’t redshirt is u never know about injuries.

I think we know show. But the performance from Bolden for me personally was pretty disappointing to see. To the fact that after the first quarter, I'm sure he didn't play another minute and based on what he brought the first 2 times down the floor, not sure he should have. I know it's not the team we will have, but we have had him and for the first 2 games, he had not shown up. Vrank got all the burn at the 5 when Jav wasn't playing it. Looks like K sent him a message tonight.
Zion is growing on me as rapidly as any player I can remember. Not only is he a tremendous player, he also plays with such enthusiasm... he looks like he loves being out there.
I agree with you on that. I just feel when Tre and Cam return, how in the world do you guard him? He is extremely quick and very agile. He is unreal and I think he's gone to be a problem.

Oh yeah for sure. I'm pretty excited because who will be the weak link that teams think they can help out on? I just pray for no, well I'm not going to say the I word, and let them have a full season together and see what happens.
I missed the first quarter. I hate hearing that Bolden looks like he hasn't improved since last season. Wow has Zion surprised me on his overall game! When we get all of our team together, we will have another special group again that has the potential of having a memorable season. We have a very talented team, only time will tell.
I have to give bolden credit for tonight though. He was cheering his butt off for his teammates instead of sulking on the bench. I just don't know what it's going to take to get him fired up. I swear it looks like he hates playing basketball or something. I'm still hoping he can turn into some form of a positive presence on the court. Not starting out great at all. Vrank clearly out playing him on both ends. Vrank killed me though with that blown layup air ball. I was like, did that just happen, and then he fell down to make it worse lol. Great hustle tonight from him.

Sometimes kids aren’t as good as first thought. Casey Sanders for one. Even Zoubek until his senior year. As long as Bolden plays big and stays out of foul trouble, I think he’ll be fine. He’ll have games where he is nonexistent and then some where he is the difference in winning and losing
