Where can I buy some sparkys sauce in Texas? Never had it.
Try a local Firehouse Subs. They will order it in for you at about $5 a bottle or if you're close to a Cabela's it can be shipped to the store for $5.99 & no shipping and you can pick it up. At last count we're actually in 61 Cabela's. Thanks for asking.

By the way, put some Sparky's in your mac and cheese.
Mac and cheese will never be the same once you do it.

I just used it on some ribs I smoked on Sunday. Seasoned with Old Bay Hot and finished them off with Sparkys after 5 hours of smoking. They were superb.

The time has come to some new pizza at Memorial.
Valentinos sucks. It just does.
It sure does and you are right: time for a change at the stadium.
What happened to Val's? I remember as a kid growing up in Lincoln going to the original location (torn down now, right???) with my dad after fishing trips. We always ordered their hamburger pizza. I just loved it. I ate that stuff any chance I got.

I had not had Val's in about 30 years when I bought a slice at the stadium for the Wisky game last year. I usually get five runzas and a giant coke when I am there but this time we had already eaten at Lazlos (another place that used to be good and is now a ******** if you ask me). Anyway... I got a slice of Val's, took a bite, and spit it out. Asked my sister if she wanted the rest. She said "no way. Val's sucks now".

Thanks for the post purchase warning sis.....

Oh, my favorite pizza in Lincoln now is Lazzari's and Yia Yia. When I last lived there (1989) I liked Piesanos. Is it still good??

Thank you sir. BTW, I made some homemade mac & cheese(homemade sauce with cheese & freshly cooked macaroni) with potato chips and melted butter on top , then added Sparkys from an earlier suggestion from you. HOLY CRAP. Thank you sir. You are a Rockstar.

In Lincoln. Patty's pub has been around for a long time with great pizza. Also Huskerville pub and pizza in Airpark. Nobody knows about them.

1. Mangia Italiana
2. Orsi's
3. LaCasa
4. Virtuoso
5. Pizzeria Davlo

Anyone that says Mama's is out of their minds. Mama's may be good for bang for the buck, but I am pretty sure they use tomato paste and water for their sauce

Mangia's Chicken Alfredo pizza is awesome.
Pizzeria Davlo is also really good if you want some thick Chicago style.
For a chain I always liked Old Chicago.

Orsi's Hamburger Guodarooni is my favorite food in the whole world, so there is that. Goudarooni is not considered Pizza, but if it was they would be #1 hands down.

Mangia just has too many pizza's that are over the top good they had to be Number 1

Chicken Alfredo
Italian Sausage and Pepper
Italian Meatball - It is not anything like traditional hamburger
Italian Beef

Ummm.... Yeah Mama's can't even compare. That is like saying here do you want this Hamburger Helper(Mama's) or some Prime Rib and a Baked Potato(Mangia)

Thanks! Love supporting Cabela's too even though they aren't owned by Nebraskans anymore.

The one in Chicago or the one that closed in Macomb?
Well, we used to go to one in Orland Park, IL, but I've found em to be pretty much the same everywhere. They have an Aurelios sauce recipe on the web I've been wanting to try.

For me, it's all about the sauce and Aurelios, for my taste buds, is the best.

I just checked their location sites and it looks like they just set up shop in Las Vegas. I'm in Phoenix now so they're getting closer .

The one in Macomb wasn't a chain. It was owned by the family of a kid I went to school with there about a million years ago.

IMO that usually happens with every great product. Heck Pizza Hut used to be great(waaaaay back). Now it's like eating a salt lick.

3 of my daughters had free pizza hut (in McCook) personal pizzas from reading at school, so my wife ordered online for 50% off a hand-tossed meatlovers pizza for her and I.

One of the best tasting pizzas that I have ever eaten. My wife thought so as well. Very impressed.

Not sure if they changed their recipe in the last few years, but holy crap, it was so good. I had to here to find this thread and comment on it! :)

I thought somebody recommended Sgt. Peffers 4 cheese pizza on here?
Now, I don't see where anybody did.
I went and got it for lunch today, based upon a non-existance recommendation.
It sucked.
It didn't even have sauce underneath the damn four cheeses.
It was some bread baked with maybe two cheeses with some parmesian sprinkled up side it.
I ate it because I was hungry.

Now you have brought back memories. Both of my daughters would receive free personal pan pizzas for reading at school, & damn straight we went. I had totally forgot about that program. That is an awesome program & I wish more places would do that. BTW, my oldest is 35 & my youngest is 31(ya I just said I'm really old). Thank you Pizza Hut.

I suggested Sgt. Peffers. I should have specified, get hamburger. I am not a fan of their 4 cheese. Some of my coworkers love it. But like you said, there’s no pizza sauce.

You also need to go for the weekday lunch special. The price is great. (They also have great soups.)

When Pizza Hut used to be a sit down family restaurant, it was pretty good. Once they became a delivery oriented, non-sit down place, all the food went to hell. Now it’s so damn greasy.

I am amazed nobody has said Oscars yet. Granted I haven't Had Some of the others but they have some very good pizza and their wings are the best in town.

The smell of Vals and how hungry you got sitting on the benches on holdrege,,, waiting an hour and a half,,,, Best ever.
You always think there is not anything better than stuff you remember from your youth and I have to agree with you on Valentino's. The original one at holdredge St. Even going to school on east campus you knew it was the best but unfortunately all we could afford was Domino's death discs.

I agree. I stopped at a Pizza Hut over in Onawa, Iowa a few years ago and we ordered a sit down pan pizza. I think that was the best pizza I've had in a long time. They didn't skimp on toppings or anything.
