I mean, these numbers are all guesses and the guesses are just going to be the best teams and/or the teams that get some good players.
Indiana, in cigs first year, had no one...but did great...so then the second year everyone thinks they must be spending 40 million.
Right now, those podcasters and radio dudes LOVE that their are no real numbers because they can make up any numbers they want and run with it...
100%But, don't kid yourself. There is pretty much a 1 to 1 correlation between money and success. Best players end up at the schools with the biggest payrolls. Much like pulling ***. Hottest women end up with the dudes with the biggest payrolls. That's just how life works. Generally.
True, but it goes both ways. It takes money to be successful, but there are plenty of schools every year that have money and don't have success. So, once again, it's back to competent leadership being the difference. But, don't kid yourself. There is pretty much a 1 to 1 correlation between money and success. And this is why Rhule should not have been hired in the first place, let alone, get an extension.True, but it goes both ways. Ten are in the South and eight are in the SEC. That pretty much tells the story. Other than Indiana these schools will probably determine the MNC. Of course lets see how Indiana does in the next few years.![]()

If your said team wins at a level you are comfortable with ( not everyone can win it all) you will be happy to keep forking it over. That’s what it will come down to .How long can boosters keep ponying up this kind of money ?
Maybe...maybe it was 50last year Indiana spent a tad over 34 million
It is the new "Coaches Buyout"If your said team wins at a level you are comfortable with ( not everyone can win it all) you will be happy to keep forking it over. That’s what it will come down to .
It works both ways. Money did help Cignetti at Indiana but he is a great coach. Money( Cody Campbell) is the only reason Texas Tech is where they are at . Joey M is an average coach at best.Maybe...maybe it was 50
Maybe it was 20...no one knows.
I was talking about the higher ups like a Texas Tech for example. If Cody Campbell is fine with Tech making the playoffs and getting destroyed in the fist game he will keep giving. It is the new "Coaches Buyout"
If the fans are happy with what you are doing (iowa, minny, NW) they are fine giving money for lame results.
