That's cool to hear. We also heard the coaches say that POB had program changing talent, so I would suspect that there will still be a QB battle Spring '17.
The coaches of course will say there's a battle but Lee's the guy. We can certainly hang our hat on him.

We need to let O'Brien learn from Lee. Just allow him to develop. His 2 years as understudy will be very valuable.

For the record, I'm not suggesting that play of individual players can't be scrutinized. I am suggesting the tone of the subject was inappropriate. To call out a single player for losing the game is a bit over the top for me. That's all.
I guess I'm still stunned at the number of experts we have who are able to pin point the EXACT way we lost...but the biggest culprits are:
- Danny...he's an idiot
-Tommy....he's a disaster

Remember...we are not talking about 70-21 games here....AND we are talking about a guy who played with Pelini as his coach...

We have been INCREDIBLY injured with not the fullest cupboard, either

I think you are right. I should not have titled the thread as I did. Too disrespectful to a player I do admire as I have said on here many times. So while I don't think we should shy away from criticizing poor play I should not have said he lost the game.

I was just trying to start a conversation about the running narrative on here that our poor offensive play of late is entirely due to offensive line injuries. I was not trolling for provocation. I love Tommy. But the kid played a terrible game and cost us points. I don't think it makes me a bad fan to point that out. Tommy is a big reason, but not the only reason, we lost that game.

And for the record I am not calling for Fyfe to start or anyone else other than Tommy. For better or for worse he is our best option at QB.

I am just like any other fan on here, trying to figure out the best case scenario going forward for this team. Trying to figure out our strengths and weaknesses.

My apologies to anyone I may have offended.

But we should have ran an option in overtime!!!
What's that? We did? I'm just gonna crawl in a hole and disappear for a few days.
Stop trolling me! Statue qb's! Aliens! Fire everybody!

7 years of bad QB play.

Can NU get a QB that can play? Both of those QBs are on Bo.

I sure hope Riley can do better.
I'm pretty confident that Riley is a great evaluator of talent. I guess he was known for it in the Pac12, and we see others (Harbaugh) offering guys that Riley offers as well. That's a big endorsement if you ask me.

we can thank our lucky stars TA is as tough as he is. I would shutter to think about where this offense would be with Fyfe.

I'm shocked people can still complain about a kid that has started for Nebraska 41 times in his career. instead of being happy with what we have and how much he has improved.

If Fyfe was on his 4th year starting like TA, he'd be twice the qb as Armstrong, no doubt about it. He sure wouldn't be throwing at sub 50% clip in games.

Sorry but this is another Bo Pelini was right thread.

That's why you cowards shy away from the fact Wisconsin ran the same plays that dogged Bo Pelini.....smdh ran over us...thank God they threw INTS or they would have ran the same 2 plays for 400 yards.

Cowards.

Wisconsin scored 17 points, not 59...

lets look at QB play against Wisconsin's defense this year

TA ----- 12/31---- 153yd ---- 0TD/2picks ---- 67.3 QBR

LSU -----12/21 --- 131 -------- 1/2---------------95.9
Akron----9/19 ----- 108---------0/1 ------------- 84.9
GaSt ---- 20/29 --- 269 --------1/0 -------------- 158.3
MSU -----18/38 --- 224 --------0/3 ---------------81.1
Mich ------20/32 ---219 --------1/1 ---------------124
OSU ----- 17/29 --- 226--------1/1 -------------- 128.6
Iowa -------17/33--- 153-------0/0 ----------------90.5

you can make a case that Wisconsin faced the worst play out the QB position they have seen all year last week .... and yet the game went into overtime .... I would be sick if were on that team

we also faced a Wisconsin defense that was its most depleted from injuries all year

we simply got atrocious QB play last week ...

we should be celebrating the coaching and play of this team that they were able to get the game into overtime despite getting that type of play from the QB position
Anywhere this stat line:
MSU -----18/38 --- 224 --------0/3
has a QBR of 81.1 causes me to not trust QBR.

Kinda of a Bo thread since the last two Qbs for the last 7 years were recruited by Bo
.
Pretty sad when G St goes for GaSt ---- 20/29 --- 269 --------1/0 -------------- 158.3 and NU has
12/31 for 0/2 ints and 150 yards and a rating of 67 ish.

Plus the 4 and 9 from the 24 and he goes full retard and throws into double coverage and 35 yards deep into the end zone.

Low percentage play that should never, never, happen. That is a 10 to 15 yard route only or run for 9 yards to keep the drive alive.

He has done this for 4 years. It tells me he doesn't get it.

It is like when it is 3 and 10 and QB's throw a 50 yard bomb into double and triple coverage.

That is something G St would do. No, wait, they wouldn't do that, only TA or TM would.
