I think what is making everyone so sick is not only the worst season in UK history but it being “at least” 3 calander yrs since UK played an NCAAT game (circa March 2019-March 2022).
Who played last year in a NCAAT game. I must have missed that? You are really good at embellishing things.

You should calm down and realize that win or lose, none of this matters. It’s a huge waste of time giving this much energy and emotion to people that don’t even know you exist.

Whether they would’ve gone to the Final Four or went winless, the only thing that changed was you didn’t have a new t-shirt to buy.
Damn .. sad but true .. not sure if feel worse or better now.

I am 51 and still enjoy today like I did when I was a kid.
It is a shame we did not make it especially after the Covaid 19 shutting everything down this time last year.

We will have to wait until next March that will put us at nearly 3 years since we got to enjoy Selection Sunday.

Better than some things that could go wrong.

I’m sure it’s killing Cal as much as you - I feel confident he will construct a much better roster for next season
He will get a point guard
Two more shooters
And tougher & more physical players
He certainly has it to do. I'll reserve excitement and optimism until we play a few games.

There’s a difference between discussing topics and being filled with rage over it. I like movies but I don’t go online and let it ruin my day if there’s a scene I don’t like.

Nobody is raging. You just label people as raging in attempts to diminish and dismiss their warranted but harsh criticisms.

Just because I say the grass outside is polka dotted doesn’t make it true. Just because I say swimming pools are made of hotdogs doesn’t make it true.

Grow up.

I’m so pissed at Cal right now. Ruined my favorite Sunday of the year. Just got to watch a panel of douche bags talk about wether Duke deserves a bid. F this ****.

I know right. Watching LSU and Alabama battle for the SEC Tournament title was brutal! Two fan bases who couldn't give a crap less about basketball. A colleague of mine is from Alabama and huge Tide fan, in football anyway. Most of the time she has no idea their basketball team is even playing.

9-16 is just utterly disgraceful and completely unacceptable. Still trying to wrap by brain about how it came to this.

Well, the 9 million dollars he made for this year's results might make it not as painful to Cal...

Okay.

Re-read the original post and tell me that guy isn’t legitimately pissed and letting this ruin his day.

You confuse me. Are you a sports fan? For serious basketball fans, today is game one of the world series. When I was a kid, while we were driving to Florida on vacation this week, my family would pull over for dinner so we could watch the selection show.

I will answer my question- there is no way you are true sports fan if it doesn't sometimes ruin your day. Geez, when you love sports and your team loses an important game, of course its going to ruin your day.

Why are you here?

Nothing is killing Cal. He still gets his 10 million. Laughing all the way to the bank, at the Foolish AD who give him a lifetime contract, win or lose, and the idiot fans who are still supporting him.

The season was over after starting 1-6 or whatever it was. "Wail til March!" "UK will grow and get better!" All that BS means nothing when you have killed your shot at an at-large bid ... UK was going to have to win the SECT far earlier than people wanted to admit. So I had no expectations of making the tournament as far back as December. It's been much easier to deal with the rest of the season ever since.
Any sane person who knows anything about basketball knew this season was over by Christmas.

What if he misses on recruiting and transfers as bad next year as he did this year?

Then what?

I don’t think he is bothered at all by it.
He worries about anything Cal and Social Justice/BLM. His allegiance to Kentucky begins and ends there.
He is in his mind bigger than Kentucky now and most importantly BIGGER THAN THE DEDICATED UK FANS THAT SUPPORTED KENTUCKY BASKETBALL FOR COUNTLESS DECADES

can he coach well enough or does he need far superior talent to win?

Why are people on this message board that don’t have a true passion for UK basketball? UK fans and the love of their team is what separates our program from others.

Furthermore, you being in the minority of Ho-hum UK fans, coming here to lecture, shows your lack of awareness and what a true d-bag you are.

Have a good day being a better, more well rounded human being than the rest of us.
Perfect reply to Aristotle.

March is always my favorite time of year because of college basketball, but the last year put a lot into perspective for me. The outcomes of college sports are so trivial in the grand scheme of things. Life is too short to have so much hatred for our basketball coach or to put your entire life into a game.

well said...I just laid my mother to rest yesterday, so I hope to be excused for not getting enraged about something we ALL knew was going to happens months ago just because the chance to talk **** is gone...if not feel free to blow me

A virtual psychiatrist!

lol. Lord. Yeah, I’m sorry I don’t base my identity on whether college kids win a meaningless basketball game. I’d hope we’d have more important things in life to worry about.

College basketball is simply just entertainment. No different than watching a TV show. Being an absolute nut over this and thinking this team is some reflection on you is just crazy.

We’re still going to work the same job tomorrow and our bank account isn’t going to change nor is Cal’s. Lol

Man, I experienced heartbreaking losses just like you. Stuff like Wisconsin and UNC hurt like hell. And I still get joy from seeing a team win. But there’s been so much evidence (especially the last year) how little this crap means in the grand scheme. Just saying, there’s stuff in our personal lives that deserves grief and emotion and energy and college basketball sure as hell isn’t it if you’re not on the team.

I have made notes on how you think I should think, act, and live life. I will put together a plan this week on how I will accomplish it, and I’ll keep you posted on my progress. I couldn’t be more happy that you came long ITT to help me change my path. Truly appreciative.
