I will be there with thousands more UK fans to drunkenly cheer on these kids. This is not a bad thing. College kids can handle being up til midnight, IIRC.Great. So, yet again, our guys are left to end their game at around Midnight in a tournament. I knew that was going to happen.

They have a,whole day in between, no big dealThe game ends at Midnight. The interviews end at 12:30-1am. The falling asleep happens about 3am. That's a quick turnaround for a Saturday afternoon game.
My thoughts exactly. They have a,whole day in between, no big deal
Agree but come on man. Our game ends 2.5 hours after the opponent's.The game ends at Midnight. The interviews end at 12:30-1am. The falling asleep happens about 3am. That's a quick turnaround for a Saturday afternoon game.
Why would they play on Saturday afternoon and not at night? There’s only 2 games to be played at that point, wouldn’t they both be at night? The game ends at Midnight. The interviews end at 12:30-1am. The falling asleep happens about 3am. That's a quick turnaround for a Saturday afternoon game.

I'm jussayin: goin to bed 2.5 hours later than the opponent, two nights before the game, is completely inconsequential.TV ratings.
"they" schedule game times for optimal ratings - so it is way different on Sat vs Thurs. Why would they play on Saturday afternoon and not at night? There’s only 2 games to be played at that point, wouldn’t they both be at night?

They have access to game film and can scout that way. The players would be sent back to the hotel anyway.I agree - the higher seed should be playing first. They've earned the right to rest more.
Plus, it gives the staff/players a chance to come out and watch their next opponent, which IS an advantage. Why should the lower seeded team get that?
I think that is likely. For whatever it’s worth, yesterday afternoon I called Philips Arena and they said games on both Thursday (2 games, one in the 7 o’clock hour and the other in the 9 o’clock hour) and Saturday start at 7pm, but that doesn’t completely jive with the TV schedule, as the tv schedule shows 6:09pm EST and 8:49pm Saturday game times (one of those in Atlanta, the other in LA, see https://www.ncaa.com/news/basketball-men/bracket-beat/march-madness-dates-tournament-schedule). The info ended up being fairly accurate for Thursday’s game time, but I’m guessing perhaps the doors open at 7pm Saturday? In the past, I have found the arena to be a good source of info as the time gets closer. If we win, we better be the 2nd game on Saturday.
Elite 8 games are 6:07 and 8:37 pm. No afternoon games on SaturdayThe game ends at Midnight. The interviews end at 12:30-1am. The falling asleep happens about 3am. That's a quick turnaround for a Saturday afternoon game.
