I've long been an advocate of the ten-point shot, scored by bouncing the ball into the basket off an opponent's head. No game would be out of reach. Blow-outs would be wildly entertaining.

I would support the implementation of the 1/2 pt. shot, such as for when players who are still shooting less than 50% FT by the time February rolls around, if they draw iron on the front end of 1 and 1s, they get a 1/2 point.

I would rather they take away opportunities for some points. What I mean by that is make every single trip to the free throw line a 1 and 1. Don't reward someone with a second shot if they can't hit the first one. It would force players like Lee and Briscoe to improve their free throw % or they are out of the game at critical times. It would also make the end of games even more interesting for teams trying to make a comeback. How many times do you see a guy miss the first but make the second one? He wouldn't get that chance if they change this.

I'd rather they switch to make it take it over a 4 point shot. [laughing]
