I don't think that's true. I've been very critical of Miles. They only reason I didn't want him fired last year was because I didn't want Eichorst to hire another coach.
I'm just pointing out that people don't realize how bad the perception of Nebraska Basketball is in coaching circles. FWIW, Eichorst put feelers out to Tom Crean last year and he had no interest. He'd rather not coach for a year than take this job. If we fire Miles, we'll bring on the next mid-major coach. We might find the Dave Van Horn of basketball, or it could be another Barry Collier. But I don't think Moos has any desire to buy out another coach this year, hence why I said Miles will get one more year.
Also consider this: At his press conference, Moos had no idea that Nebraska Basketball had never won an NCAA tournament game. The guy that interviewed and accepted the AD job here had zero familiarity with the #2 revenue sport here. That says a lot about the perception of our basketball program.
