They do have the same rules.
Certainly ignorant, which I guess is akin to Communism. Really just splitting hairs there. So thinking that corporations should pay their own way and large and small organizations should operate under the same rules is communist now?
Under 4% unemployment in the financial capital of the world. This isn't Detroit we are talking about here, if yoi dont have a job in NYC you either dont want one or will never get one.Hilarious.....Are you the "job czar"?
Its getting better and better. Keep going. You're on a roll, or a spin. meh whatevs.Jobs also aren't the most important factor for everyone.
Wow.Under 4% unemployment in the financial capital of the world. This isn't Detroit we are talking about here, if yoi dont have a job in NYC you either dont want one or will never get one.
People embrace economic ignorance that supports their team. This probably isn't a new phenomenon, but it certainly seems FAR more pronounced in this era.

We appear to be nation of populists that hate globalization, hate free trade, like tariffs that support industries we like and hate Evil Corp and their money making, tax base growing, employing evilness. Maybe the coffee guy can win in 2020 (insert THE's narrator joke)

Regurgitated talking points doesn't make any of that true. WTF does it mean they are state sponsored? Are kids state sponsored because of the CTC and EITCs? Are green technologies state sponsored because of their tax credits? Is hiring veterans? Hiring Native Americans? And on, and on, and on, and onCorporations are fine, but they shouldnt also be state sponsored. Ask Norfolk VA how that **** works out.
How many jobs are created? How much tax base is created?
That is some serious cognitive dissonance there
That is also what I read this morning.I had read $27 billion tax revenue off of the $3 billion break, but don't hold me to it.
But now NYC has that $3bn pile of cash to throw around. :joy::joy::joy:I had read $27 billion tax revenue off of the $3 billion break, but don't hold me to it.
That might be dumbest thing that AOC and a few others have implied. And they got elected? Oh boy....But now NYC has that $3bn pile of cash to throw around. :joy::joy::joy:

You, and airport, might think that is possible in some Utopian dreamscape, but it's not reality. Incentivizing job creators often leads to (gasp) jobs, tax revenue, more jobs. Cherry picking a few poorly structured deals doesn't disprove this.So Amazon is a starving undrepresented minority group now?
We shouldnt give breaks to businesses just to show up. You end up like Trump bragging about how many jobs Carrier would mean.

Why is it OK for government to give breaks to some comapnies and not others? It is better to give none. If you want to lure them in, change your tax laws. Don't made side deals with Larry while Moe has to pay full price
Only people who actually want their towns to continue to exist.Jobs also aren't the most important factor for everyone.
What does the unemployment rate have to do with anything?Under 4% unemployment in the financial capital of the world. This isn't Detroit we are talking about here, if yoi dont have a job in NYC you either dont want one or will never get one.
Because you dont get what is fair in life. You get what you negotiate. Why is it OK for government to give breaks to some comapnies and not others? It is better to give none. If you want to lure them in, change your tax laws. Don't made side deals with Larry while Moe has to pay full price
Local and state Govt’s compete for business to come to their areas against other local and state Govts. Business will go where it gets the best deal to do so. Business in and of itself is a commodity to Govts because of job creation and tax revenue generation. In today’s age, businesses are no longer tied to specific areas for any geographical necessity. Instead, they’re looking for the human capital and attractive business climate. It is 100% always a good thing to have more available jobs in your district. It’s means more money for roads, schools, etc.Why is it OK for government to give breaks to some comapnies and not others? It is better to give none. What is scary is people who are elected to represent their constituents dont know these basic things. You get the government you deserve.Local and state Govt’s compete for business to come to their areas against other local and state Govts. Business will go where it gets the best deal to do so. Is this fvcking bizarro world?

No ****, Sherlock. And I’m betting some of those things you listed likely wouldn’t get the tax relief of say, Amazon HQ2. The **** man?So everyone is happy when a prison gets built beside their town? How about a chemical plant next door?
There are lots of other factors involved too. Availability and affordibility of housing was a major concern for residents, if 25k new people move into town will they be able to afford to stay there after?
I get that governments want to increase their tax base. Do that by creating business favorable laws and selling companies on your people and infrastructure. Let every business operate on the same playing field, whatever that field may be.
What governments want and what residents want are not always the same thing.
If people cant afford to live there they could go to work for Amazon. I shouldnt have to explain to you why that is only common sense. So everyone is happy when a prison gets built beside their town? How about a chemical plant next door?

70% of the people were for it. This is a case of the 30% of retardnation not wanting it. Don’t act like it was unanimous and it was cheered on by a moron who was elected to Congress, which apparently you’re all in for. What governments want and what residents want are not always the same thing.
it was cheered on by a moron who was elected ...., which apparently you’re all in for.
