I’m loving our intensity to start the games lately, as long as we don’t come out flat, and I 100% believe we’ll be ready to battle, we’re going to be good to go. I think we’ve finally turned the corner and our defense is always going to be there from now on.

Cals has absolutely got these guys believing in themselves and each other, and these kids are having a blast playing with each other!, now, it’s just going to be fun watching everyone fight for minutes. You know they all want to play soo bad. Haha. I love every single moment of it!!! Go Cats!

Good defensive team, tough environment, piss poor offense.

That about sums it up.

They also just lost their backup big man.

We should win, but you never know. Gotta stay focused.

I’m not even going to say the word let down. Everytime it’s mentioned we simply don’t have a let down. We just have to play with the same intensity, focus, and efficiency that we have been playing with.

They are probably freaking out because it is 46 degrees in Gainesville, FL right now.

It's 14 degrees here with a windchill of 1. Just ONE stupid degree and it's supposed to get colder.

My thoughts are that I wish I were in Florida. I would wear shorts in 46 degree weather right now while all those people are fighting for the last coat on a Wal-Mart rack. [laughing]

Nothing about this Florida team scares me though they always play us tough in that building. I thought the same thing about Vanderbilt in Nashville and we took care of business tonight. I don’t expect it to be close for long the way this team is clicking.

I go to this game just about every year...been doing it for over 35 years.
The crowd intimidates the refs usually, they are always extremely energized for U.K (the students are similar to Duke student section, right down next to the court, and very loud) ....we get in foul trouble probably.
The crowd also gets to some players....we usually have someone important that doesn't handle it well.
Since the refs often are influenced some by the crowd noise, and close proximity to the court...UF usually plays very physical on offense and defense, and will rebound over the back.....we will get few calls on all of that.

IMO, it's one of the best home court advantages, other than the weird Vandy court, in the SEC....good for about 10 points on average, sometimes even more.

The way we have been playing I think we have enough if we play a little better than average game, and come out on top by 6-8 points.

I'll be about 8 rows up under the Gator bench end basket, sitting with my Gator friends, wearing my U.K. Blue.

Who did they just lose?

If we go down there and just smoke them, which we could, we have something very, very special brewing.

This by no means is a finished product.

You can see EJ maturing, Baker maturing, Nick maturing.

Hagans is dropping dimes like a mad man.
Herro is more than just a shooter although I hope he starts shooting it better lol
PJ is the Alpha Dog, Mr. Do it All.
Johnson can blitz you from three.
Quickly plays so hard and can use the left hand brilliantly and stick the three.
Reid is a rock down low and wrecking ball.
Cal is the Master Motivator.

They are bringing it at both ends.

At this point if these guys continue to want it and continue to improve and there is no relapse....

37-3.

KJ seems ready now, may have had a bug but he has been three for four the last two games from three. EJ is smelling what he can do, so is Nick. I think they both take another big step by seasons end...

Now to Ole JB. That guy is a difference maker. TWO threes again in limited minutes. Good D. Could be a great sixth man if UK needed him as a sixth man.

The real funny part is this team has yet to fully gel. They have NOT played on all cylinders.

We shall see...

To be honest, have not seen much of them. I know they pushed Michigan State at home and have some solid depth. All three members of their 2018 class start. Still bummed they have Lewis coming in next year. Cannot afford to let another Alabama happen here. Go Cats!
They’ve underachieved and have been a total disappointment.

That being said, they have some talent, and we will have to play well to win there.

I look to get Florida's best shot and their arena will be rocking. If we come out and play like we have lately it will be another big win.

I really want to see us against a good defensive team. I haven't really looked up the numbers yet but seems the teams we are playing aren't that good on the defensive side of the ball. If you look at UT and us, I think that's the glaring difference. Our defenses are great compared to the rest of the SEC.

I plead guilty. It is 52 degrees here and feels -52.

Kentucky just got an easy win on the road. A young team might think the rest will be easy also. Cal needs to make sure that does not happen.

Florida is on the verge of being a dumpster fire. They won't stay within 20 points of this UK team. They have very little on the inside and they're still trying to hang on to Billy Donovan's 3 point barrage game plan, but it's not working. They are chucking up a lot of bricks.
PJ, Travis and NR should have a field day in the paint and on the glass.
This game won't be close.

Florida will be like a poor man's Kansas. Isaiah Stokes didn't come back from his ACL surgery (last year) all that well and he basically doesn't play. Then they lost 6'11 Gorjok Gak for the year with another knee injury. Then last week, starting PF Keith Stone tore his ACL so they are basically down to just Kevarrius Hayes as their only big man. They play a lot of wings in Locke, Allen, Johnson, Hudson, and Ballard with Nembhard running the show. He played at Montverde with RJ Barrett.

I thought they would be good this year with the guard depth, but they've been really bad, and now are down to just two big men in Hayes and backup Bassett with Stokes still active, albeit not playing.

Not a lot of players get worse as they get older, but Allen, Hudson, and Ballard have all regressed since last year. Allen seems to have recovered some, but he still isn't where he was as a sophomore.

This is actually Mike White's fourth year there so all the players are his guys.

You all may not give a **** what I think, and that's certainly fair. But, Florida plays excellent defense and just shoots a **** ton of threes. They hit 8 or 9 against us in the first half, and if they are playing well, they have enough talent and play enough defense to give anyone trouble.

UK fans should not be worried about UF either time. IMO of our 11 games left UF at rupp is the easiest and at UF is maybe the 8th-9th easiest game left . Just not a good team at all. I have watched them play almost every single game this season ( I live in Jax , Fl so they are always on even against the crap teams on local channels ) and they are good on D ( though not as good as people act like ) and most of the time awful on O. They have really good freshmen I will say that though. The seniors are letdowns big time. They both came into the season as 2nd round picks and now neither has any chance at being drafted. Also our size will feast on them.

Our tough games left are the 2 UT games , LSU , at Ole miss and AU . Of all those teams we match up best with UT and worst with LSU IMO.

Florida is a solid team. The people on here acting like they are garbage are wrong. They have some struggles and aren't a great, typical Florida team but it will still be a tough game.

If you take away their first loss by 21 against FL St, they have lost their games by 5, 5, 4, 2, 11, 3, and 5

They aren't getting blown out in games and are keeping them close. Now, there are no participation trophies but they are certainly capable of making it a close game against UK.

Stone and Gak aren’t playing. They have zero bigs inside minus Hayes. We should dominate inside again and no experience at point.

Think we win by 10+
