This lets you know just how mercenary of a business it is, not that I was under any illusions otherwise, but I'm just sayin'. You hire a guy and he's you're best friend and then when he leaves he's immediately the best friend of the fans of the other team. I'm not begrudging DH that. When WVU hires someone soon it'll be the same thing. Some guy that previously didn't care about WVU fans in the slightest will suddenly become their best friend.

I like Matt Campbell. We could beat his salary of $3.5 million but his buyout is $9.5 million. I don’t see us ponying up that much cash and it would make sense to put that money toward a salary rather than a buyout.

I know a lot of people like this Neal Brown dude. I honestly don’t know enough about him. I’m a little reluctant of gambling on a G5 up and comer. It might work out. I would be less of a gambler and pay decent money to get a P5 up and comer or get a P5 guy who is somewhat successful and I thought could improve here at WVU.

I’ve always liked David Shaw. We could never steal him from Stanford but I’ve always thought he has done very well for Stanford with the challenge of no name recognition (athletics wise).

I’m curious to see if the negotiations with the new HC include a clause to utilize Gibson on the staff in some way, shape or form.

I'd love to see us hire a strong P5 coach from somewhere.
