If we can get Roby, Dachon Burke, Jervay Green, and Amir Harris to stay, we'll have a decent nucleus next year. Need a couple of grad transfers and put 30 more pounds on Brady Heiman.

Clearly not about opportunity. He’d get all he can handle. Can’t imagine it’s about Big fRed. Just wants to push reset I suppose.

Seems a little quick. But if you don't want to be here, ya don't want to be here. Good luck and best wishes.

Ultimately, I think it's best for both parties. This gives Fred another spot to go out and get a guy that fits his system and helps flip the roster that much quicker. Turnover is good right now.

When Hoiberg said today he wanted a fast paced offense, my 1st thought was Heiman is gonna be left behind. I dont see him adapting to that.

Heiman might be better off redshirting next year. Probably should have redshirted this year. It was pretty much a wasted year and he has a long ways to go.

Heiman should have absolutely redshirted this year. He desperately needs at least 30 pounds on him. He's a project big man, which is the best Miles could ever do. Hopefully FH and MA can snag us a true big asap

Seemed like a good player and he still may turn out to be, but the team sure played better after he got hurt and his departure does open up a third scholarship for the new staff. Benefits both parties.

I imagine at least 1 more opens up with Akenten. Also wouldn’t be surprised if Thor went back home to play.

Amir doesn't fit the new offense at all, he is one of the worst shooting guards in college basketball. He's a great driver, defensive player but can't hit "the broad side of a barn".

I don't see Harris becoming a great scorer, but he's sure not a guy I would want to run off. If Harris stays, I like Hoiberg's chances of turning him into a good contributor.

I had a friend text me after Allen got hurt, “Did Allen just play his last game as a Husker?” Kind of prophetic on his part.

I agree. He’s a pretty athletic player who can play defense pretty well. If he can develop a jump shot, I think he can be a pretty good contributor.

maybe you heard Fred talk today about player development?
He mentioned the "skill development program" twice. I will be interested in learning how this differs from "practice". It almost sounds like a Coach Verduzco type of thing where they focus on the eyes, feet, shoulders, etc. and when those are right, everything else works.

Good to hear. Another freed up scholarship for Hoiberg to bring in a better shooter. Allen was a career 41% shooter. FH and his staff will bring in better.

Unless you know him personally, we will speculate on why he left. My speculation is that his core guys are all gone (might be a bad omen for Roby) and he doesn’t want to go through a rebuild. He may also see writing on the wall with Jervay Green coming in that his spot is crowded on a thin team.

I don’t like the transfer world of today, but it’s what we have to live with and he’s doing what he thinks is best for him.

Stay classy "Huskers_Rule". I would love to get a link to your HUDL highlights so we can all see what a great shooting guard looks like.
