Are you intentionally acting stupid, or does it come naturally? Any 6’11 guy could play good defense and affect shots down low? We have a guy on our roster, Quinten Post, who proves that theory false. Stop digging, you’ve already hit bottom.

If Post continues to improve, his offense will be infinitely more valuable than Ado’s defense. We’re not in the 80s anymore bud.

I don’t know what is it s about this board and Ado, but he’s one of, if not the least skilled offensive big man in the conference. I would take probably every single other starting center/PF MSU has had the past 20 years over him.

He’s a great kid and what his done for himself and his family is tremendous and should be commended.

But on the basketball floor, he holds us back more than he helps win. I’ll always have that opinion, and if it puts sand in yalls ******, idgaf.

If you don’t expect more than 6 points, 6 rebounds from your starting center, agree to disagree.

One of my buddies is a St.Lu alumni, and after the game his text to me was effectively: the difference in the game was that defensive big that absolutely shut down any ability for them to score inside.

People who understand basketball understand the value of Ado, unfortunately 80% of our fan base has no 17ing idea how the game of basketball works.

I'm not defending gold Brooks, but your argument is weak.

- Ado's offensive stats haven't gotten worse, his offense has changed to accommodate the team. He scores fewer points but he also takes fewer shots. Also, his FT% has increased significantly and his ability to make FTs has directly helped us lage in games this season. Thats improvement.
Ado has absolutely added moves to his offense. He puts the ball on the floor from the elbow now. Early I the season it led to like 10 charges I a row, but it has since led to some spin moves close to the basket that result in points at the basket or the line. His turn arpund 7' shots are completely different now too.

- Recent post players with moves- Holman, Perry, Tolu, and Ware.
Those are just post players that are in the Howland era. Brooks has been at MSU well before that and the list could continue.
If he is to be blamed for not turning one specific player into a double digit scorer, should he get credit for the ones that turned into high output scorers?

Sorry for the Fat finger down vote. I agree with your assessment.

Any 6’11 body is going to effect shots down low, stop with that remedial excuse.

Ado does so much more than alter shots and he does infinitely more defensively than most 6’ 11” guys out there. He is a special defensive player. One of the best ever in an MSU uniform. His offense is very poor, but to pretend he has no value is silly. His post defense has won us plenty of games.

I don’t think he has no value, I don’t mean to come across that way. I’m of the opinion his offense is so limited, and I mean every aspect, not just shooting the ball, it negates the impact he has on defense.

Watch the Kentucky 1st half if you think Ado has no skill on offense. He abused a roster full of NBA players on both sides of the court that game.
