His quote on downplaying the virus means that due to his not taking the virus seriously, his cultist followers didn't, either. As soon as he said he wouldn't be wearing a mask, that was the beginning of the anti-masker movement.
If Trump would have said everybody should wear a mask, the mainstream media would have been saying don't wear a mask. The democrats would have jumped in and said the same thing.

I don't believe for a minute that the media and Democrats would be saying not to wear a mask if if Trump said to wear one---especially when the science folks were saying to wear one.

In other words, your excuse is a cop out.

You should also stop acting like the mainstream media is such a scourge, when the alternative media that many folks follow is just as bad, and more often that not more biased and slanted, than the MSM is.

Bias towards your view is still bias.

So Obama and Biden brought slavery back to Syria, which country do you think Biden and Harris bring it to? Keep in mind, she's a big fan of slavery.

What is this jackass AG from Texas doing suing battleground states ON BEHALF OF TEXAS? Texas trying to meddle in the outcome of election in other states? Just a small window into the self important myopic lunacy that is all too common down there. Shitkickers with necks like a stack of dimes, cowboy hats three sizes too large, and belt buckles bigger than granny's nipples. The BBQ is top notch tho. KC and Memphis and Carolina can go kick rocks. Texas BBQ is the ****. Everything else down there is simply the *****. Important distinction.

And all along I thought it was due to the self important myopic lunacy of the leftist maniacs who spent 4 years meddling in the outcome of the last election.

Wow, thanks for clearing that up.

Good move by Texas but it doesn’t look like it is going to work out.

How would you clowns feel if Cali AG tried to invalidate the vote in Neb? You rubes are a treat. Too thick to have the mental capacity to imagine shoe on other foot. Hopeless. Hapless. Hilarious.
Yeah, I don’t think you seem the grasp the fact that circumventing the laws in a federal election attempting to get a desired outcome affects all the states....hence 18 other states and 40 congressman joined the lawsuit. You libs seem to think the rule of law doesn’t apply to you.

There are many reasons why it was a bad move, but let's start with the most obvious.

1. Conservatives are always going on about states rights, especially in Texas. It is clear that states have the constitutional right to run their own elections. Texas would never allow another state to tell it how to run its election, yet here they are asking SCOTUS to toss the ballots from other states because they just don't like how those four states ran their elections. If we're being honest, they just don't like the outcome. From a legal perspective, the precedent it sets is nightmarish.

2. Conservatives keep talking about how unfair and fraudulent the elections were, including Republican congressmen who won election in the 4 contested states. Shouldn't those congressmen forfeit their seats in Congress? After all, if the vote in their respective states where they were elected was a fraud, according to them, they should decline their seats. Right?

3. The damage is done. Conservatives overwhelming believe this was all a fraud. Trump lost dozens of lawsuits in state, federal and SCOTUS, with liberal judges, conservative judges, and Trump appointees. Still, all a fraud, apparently. My question is what happens in the next election? What if Trump runs again and wins? What if another Republican wins? Still fraud? Or is it only if he loses, then its a fraud?

You have this so twisted around it'd be laughable if it were so depressing. States didn't circumvent laws. They set their own election laws as is their constitutional right. Literally dozens of states and federal courts found this argument lacks merit. The equivalent, if there were such a thing, would be something like NY or California suing Texas over voter ID laws. Texas would never allow another state to tell it how to run its election, as is their right, and the courts would uphold.

More than 80 judges disagree with your premise. Fifty seven (57) cases have been adjudicated since the election and all Courts found no evidence that laws were circumvented - none, zero, zilch. Every member of the Supreme Court of the United States unanimously agreed. What you state as "fact" is kraken-level lunacy (which has also been dismissed in court). Keep inventing **** if it makes you feel better.

The legislatures set the election rules and no one but the state legislature can alter them according to the constitution. This is done for a reason and is an effort to gain some uniformity. When individuals changes those rules right before an election, outside of their authority, and it is actually implemented, it gives the appearance of manipulation and an attempt to get a desired outcome. That in itself affects other states that followed the constitution in a federal election.

1. the administration had time to file suit before the election, and failed to act with due diligence. It waited until after the election to contest the results. The remedy they now seek is to toss millions of legit ballots, an absolutely unprecedented and insane ask that courts are not going to grant. 2. They counted and recounted, and in some cases counted ballots for a third time, and the outcome was unchanged. In spite of ample opportunity to demonstrate that massive fraud occurred, none was found. Hell, man, you even have AG Barr saying nothing was found that would change the outcome of the election.

At this point Republicans are grasping at straws. Worse, they are undermining democracy.

Tell that to the 75 million voters that just don’t believe a fair election transpired. When you have that many questioning the legitimacy, you have a problem that needs to be addressed

I find it particularly hilarious when a democrat accuses a republican (or anyone else for that matter) of undermining democracy....and you do know we do not live in a democracy.....

Awesome analysis. Last I checked, Biden won the Electoral College BIGLY, Biden had the most votes IN THE HISTORY OF OUR COUNTRY, won popular vote by 7 million, Trump admin has brought dozens of suits claiming all kinds of election horseshit all over the country, and they've all been swatted away as lunacy and unsubstantiated nonsense, including the ridiculous Texas law suit which even the right wing Supreme Court refused to give credence to (including three Justices Trump appointed), Trump has lost multiple recounts in several states, many of which were overseen by state republican administrations, etc..... And you think I'm not grasping something? Libs think the rule of law doesn't apply to them? Do you even hear yourself bro?

Why are you under the assumption that every Trump voter thinks the election was unfair and fraudulent?

Seems to me that if you have a GOP Rep or Senator that won in one of those states, then they should also have to forfeit their result---or do you think only the presidential section of the ballot be tossed?
