I agree I thought the first one should have been a flagrent 2 too.

Ol Anderson was pissed after that 5 second call he wanted. Clearly the ref, right next to the player calling timeout had a better count then the one across court

Not to mention, 1 minute prior the same 2 refs had opposite calls that benefitted arky. One ref called the obvious travel but same ref who pushed for 5 seconds said no no no with his whistle and called a mythical foul. 2points.

I think you are correct on this. Anderson was out of control following that 5 sec call. I really think he expected to walk all over the Cats after the Vandy game. When his last hopes faded, he started to act out more and more. The first flagrant was worthy of an NFL play of the game in its intensity alone. Anderson defended it. The second was committed with an intention to injure as the player was clearly not after the ball. Anderson defended it. This has become a pattern with him. I think the conference should admonish Anderson publicly. I think Arkansas should strongly consider whether Anderson represents their values any longer. He is embarrassing the conference, that university and college basketball.

What the hell was the ref out on the floor doing trying to call 5 seconds????

Shows was inbounding the ball and had an obvious count gesture with his arm.

I'm glad it was Doug, he made the other ref look stupid for even trying to take a call that isn't remotely his.

How about you watch the players on the floor fouling trying to prevent the opponent from getting the ball instead of watching and counting the inbounder with a ref right next to him assigned to that job?

Saw the one where the Arkansas guy chestbumped Fox(?) to the floor... Nasty looking foul. Was that the second? Anyone have link to the first?

Didn't know things were so heated between Arkansas and UK.

The punishment for the intentional fouls at an end game is not severe enough. On the foul on Fox the defender got to take the basically punch Fox in the face and it erased a basket. Not much penalty when the game is over. Arkansas gets to send their message that they are bullies but with the instigator paying no penalty beyond this game which has already been decide. Old crater face junior could have prevented the second foul by addressing his team but spent his time berating the ref as if the first foul didn't happen. He was encouraging hie teams thuggish behavior.

It really wasn't heated between Arkansas and UK. It was 100% Arkansas heated because they were losing and maybe because they didn't get the 5 second call. Our guys didn't do ANYTHING! We didn't get any T's or F's.

Yeah, it was the second one. The first was a short time earlier and was pretty much an elbow to the head area and that is why many of us think it was an F2.

Two things I'd love to know...

1. What did Cal whisper to Fox when he came off and they both started laughing?

2. What were the two Arky players whispering about as the one had his jersey up over his mouth so his lips couldnt be read while Fox was shooting his FT?

I'll guess they were talking about getting Monk next but Cal took him out. The last 4 minutes of the game M. Anderson embarrassed their whole fan base!

I thought the kid was sent to the showers because that was his second technical of the game (the first in the first half (?)). Am I dreaming?
Thanks for all of your responses.
You are correct, his second tech, but IMO they would have tossed him if it wasn't his second.

Should have both been flagrant 2. Another dirty pick on Dom was ignored in the first half.

That was a BS no call. I watched it on a replay and he lowered his shoulder to deliver a blow to Hawkins. He put him down but Hawkins didn't stay. That should have been a flagrant foul but the only called official time to see if he was bleeding......he wasn't play resumed.
