Another Dpic falsehoodI don't know how many times I have to repeat this, but under the SAVE ACT, you have to re-register in person.
Hey doofus, you just proved me right. Of course you don't have to re-register if nothing has changed and I have repeatedly said that you will have to re-register if you have moved or your name on your license doesn't match your birth certificate.Another Dpic falsehood
Save Act, as written in the House-passed version, does not force every registered voter to re-register en masse it would require documentary proof of U.S. citizenship when someone registers for the first time or when they update their registration (for example after a move or a name change),

This sounds like leftist propaganda. With that said if its true then im happy to do it.I don't know how many times I have to repeat this, but under the SAVE ACT, you have to re-register in person.
What makes you say that? We've had free elections for 250 years with an extremely small amount of fraud but suddenly, only because Trump is a whiny *****, this is the most important bill of all time. A bill that will require tens of millions of people to re-register and harshly punish any election worker who mistakenly accepts a non-compliant document with up to 5 years in prison.Worst administration of all time, slaves to Israel as I said over a year ago and was laughed at. But the Save Act has to pass, it’s the only way you can keep American elections free. Problem is the bill they’re trying to pass as “the save act” has a million different things in the bill that have nothing to do with voter ID.
Bullcrap. There is a miniscule amount of fraud and there's no reason to rush this in time for the mid-terms just because Trump is worried he'll get clobbered. It doesn't have a damn thing to do with keeping non-citizens from voting, especially when you consider there have been less than 75 "attempted" instances over 25 years and billions of ballots cast. This is a voter suppression bill, pure and simple, so in effect, it's actually a way for Trump to cheat.This sounds like leftist propaganda. With that said if its true then im happy to do it.

It begs the question.
States are in charge of their elections. But what happens when states fail to enforce their own laws? Who hold them accountable? No one!
you might be able to accomplish the same thing (partially) as SAVE act by culling the voter rolls and removing the dead people, those that no longer live in the state/district etc.Bullcrap. States already do that routinely but thanks for bringing that up because that's another reason Democrats are opposed to the SAVE ACT. It will require every state to turn over their voter rolls to the least trustworthy administration in history so they can cull the voter rolls in the way that they deem fit. Oh hell no....you might be able to accomplish the same thing (partially) as SAVE act by culling the voter rolls and removing the dead people, those that no longer live in the state/district etc.
SENATE SELLOUT IN THE DEAD OF NIGHT: While America slept, just 5 Senators showed up at 2AM and rammed through a DHS funding bill by quiet voice vote.
NO debate, NO recorded vote.
The five who were present:
@LeaderJohnThune (R-SD)
Eric Schmitt (R-MO)
Bernie Moreno (R-OH)
Mazie Hirono (D-HI)
Andy Kim (D-NJ)
They funded TSA to "fix" airport lines but ZERO full funding for ICE and Border Patrol.
NO SAVE America Act, no proof of citizenship nor identification to vote.
Now they all prepare to jet off for a 2-WEEK RECESS!
Is this the "Republican leadership" you voted for in 2024?
House SHOULD REJECT this betrayal.
Care to explain this GOP Senate Surrender to voters?
@SenEricSchmitt
@berniemoreno
Very good question. Im still trying to figure this part out. To be continued.here's a question...ok this bill does not fund ICE or border patrol...But ICE is funded through 2029 via the BBB. So what is not funded in this Senate bill?
President Trump has the power to convene the Senate under Article II, Section 3 of the Constitution “on extraordinary Occasions.”
If a department with 260,000 employees (DHS) going unfunded isn’t an “extraordinary occasion”—especially while the Senate is out on a two-week recess during that shutdown with no plans to resolve the impasse beyond “we’ll deal with that in two weeks”—I don’t know what is.
Playing dumb will Not work here dpic. We all know what occurred.DERP, the Senate already unanimously passed a bill to fund DHS 100-0. They are not the problem here.

What makes you so sure he's playing? lulzPlaying dumb will Not work here dpic. We all know what occurred.
Yes I do, Mike Johnson and his shady caucus were under orders not to pass it.Playing dumb will Not work here dpic. We all know what occurred.
Props on your continued trolling efforts, TG. Why he engages you in debate is beyond me. What a waste of his time. Have a blessed day.How are you supposing it suppresses vote?
That thing that never happens is happening again.
Our elections are fraudulent. Zero doubt. We don’t have fair elections.
You're saying that if a person moves from NY to FL they shouldn't have to register to vote in FL elections and that they should be allowed to continue voting in NY?Hey doofus, you just proved me right. Of course you don't have to re-register if nothing has changed and I have repeatedly said that you will have to re-register if you have moved or your name on your license doesn't match your birth certificate.
And that's not a small number:
- Eligible American voters who move every year - 29 million
- Women who have driver's licenses or other identification that does not match their birth certificates - 69 million
Total = 98 million or more than half of all registered voters(though many of these overlap)

Number of registered voters U.S. 2024| Statista
In 2024, there were 173.85 million people registered to vote in the United States.www.statista.com
Edit - this could also apply to hyphenated last names..
At the end of the day, the Save Act is introducing a Poll Tax in disguise and is unconstitutional. No other conversation necessary.You're saying that if a person moves from NY to FL they shouldn't have to register to vote in FL elections and that they should be allowed to continue voting in NY?
The 69 million women whose birth certificate doesn't match their driver's license is a red herring. That's true of almost every married woman in America. After you prove your citizenship and register to vote you don't get a new birth certificate with you married name. That's just dumb.
Half of the 29 million people who move are men whose name hasn't changed. Furthermore 75% of the people who move stay in the same state, most in the same county.
You've lost your mind
dpic, the goal here is to get a bill passed. The fact that one part of the government passed a bill, that they know will not pass in the other, is a meaningless action. It's the same with the house passing a bill that they know will not pass the Senate.DERP, the Senate already unanimously passed a bill to fund DHS 100-0. They are not the problem here.

Huh? Thee's no fee involved.At the end of the day, the Save Act is introducing a Poll Tax in disguise and is unconstitutional. No other conversation necessary.
You can't be this dense.You're saying that if a person moves from NY to FL they shouldn't have to register to vote in FL elections and that they should be allowed to continue voting in NY?

It is for the 10s of millions of people who don't have access to their birth certificate or don't have a passport. They have to purchase a passport or purchase access to their birth certificate to register to vote.Huh? Thee's no fee involved.
