Lets see if I can get the winner for two majors in a row, the British Open starts early in the morning.

I think Fleetwood will be right there, Garcia also, Johnson and Speith, maybe McIlroy.

But I'm going on a limb here, Phil gets his last major win this weekend.

You picked Sergio? Good call. I had Koepka as well in most of my lineups, but I will say the British is the toughest to pick. I could see anyone from Rickie, to Cabrera Bello, to Rahm, to spieth etc. really no clue. But I'll go with Rahm.

I am a Jason Day fan and pulling for him....next two guys I would like to see win it would be Fowler and Spieth. Also like Kuchar a lot, but of those 4, I would pick Spieth as having the best chance.

Cool story a friend of mine at work told me. I was a huge Paul Azinger fan when he ws playing. My buddy told me he met Azinger at a tournament and got to spend about 5' talking to him. He said the next year, he's at the same tournament and heard someone off to the side say "Hey John, that you?"...It was Azinger...I thought that was amazing that he remembered him. and the Eulogy he did at Payne Stewarts funeral was really really good....you can youtube it. I thought it was great.

Adam Scott. Met him at Pinehurst few years back, nice guy.

Heading to PGA in Charlotte during August, that is going to be a steam bath.

A little behind on time since the first round is over but I felt from the beginning that Spieth and Tommy Fleetwood would be frontrunners but it looks like Fleetwood may have played himself out of the picture today.

Kuchar tightening things up right out of the gate. Takes the 3 shot lead down to one after just two holes!

I'm sure there are a lot of golfers in here. It would be really cool if we could get enough to commit to it and have a DI golf tournament somewhere!!

Pinehurst would be a good area to have it. It would be a lot of fun. I've played the course at Duke once and love the layout there also

Tiger is the only other player I've seen that could do what Speith did today. They have the ability to focus and take it to another level.

Spieth has 3 majors and a runner up at 23 years old. Surely he gets 4-5 more in the next ten years. It will be interesting to see how he keeps his edge over long periods of time. Golf takes a ton of sacrifice and mental energy. I'mrooting for him to find the right balance.

I think saving with the BOGEY on the 13th, was one of the best scramble bogeys you'll see in a major. Spieth righted himself when he drained that putt!

for modern day players, I agree, except, were he around, I would probably throw Payne Stewart in there with them....And of course throughout golf history, I'm not sure you can say any player could have done something that Nicklaus couldn't have.
But yeah, what Spieth done was pretty special!!

With all due respect to the Late great Payne, he's no where in the convo with those guys. Those guys were in a different universe, as great as paynes career was while he was with us.

I think I understand what you are saying and do not disagree. What I was referring to with Payne, is having the same nerve and drive. I have always said if he had been here during Tigers prime run, he is one player who would not have lost his composure when Tiger started climbing the leaderboard. I believe he would have stood toe to toe and played at the highest level he was capable of. May not have won, but not because of lack of nerve and grit.

I don't 'think' it was the best....it is the best I've seen. I was literally in awe. And the momentum shift just from making a bogey? Wow. If I were Kuchar I would have curled up in the fetal position walking out of there only having gained one stroke.

Spieth played unbelievable golf down the stretch. I wasn't really cheering for him or against him because I also like Kuchar and know his time is running out to get a major. But what we witnessed yesterday was pretty special and something we'll be talking about for years.

Side note....on a much smaller scale and in reverse order, that was my golf game yesterday. Play nine holes of nearly flawless golf (and when I say flawless for me I mean maybe shooting one- or two-over) followed by nine holes where it looks like I've never played and I walk off the 18th hole with an 81 or 82.

With the career of Tiger pretty much over and Phil's in the twilight I see the changing of the guard well on it's way. In fact it's already happened. Excited about these youngsters coming in. We knew it was going to happen. Always does. I grew up watching the greats such as Arnold, Jack, Casper, Trevino and Player among others. Then came Watson, Miller, Norman and the others. Tiger and Phil made the next wave. I like Spieth along with Fowler Jr. I see lots o classy golfers coming in. The game is great as ever. OFC
