I will say Jack is the G.O.A.T until his record 18 majors is surpassed. Plus he's been an ambassador for the game in foreign lands and has conducted his life well off the course as well.

And Jack had what, 19 second place finishes in majors? So that would be 37 top 2's?......Wow

It's hard to see someone passing Jack. I saw a stat the other day where in a 19-year period the worst finish Jack had at The Open was 12th. The worst! Think about that.

The depth of players on the PGA tour is stronger now than it was when Nicklaus played and that's not a knock on him. He even said as much. Heck before the Open this year there were 9 first time major winners in a row I think. That just shows how many great players there are that can get on a run and win one
