Good morning folks. What a fantastic win for your FIRST PLACE IN THE SEC (tied) Kentucky Wildcats. This has to be the best Kentucky football season since 1977. Even those years Stoops won ten games the SEC East was a bit down and it was a matter of not losing any games to underdogs. To have beaten two Top Ten teams, along with an Oklahoma team that had just beaten Texas and was favored...That's three wins in a month that I can't remember the Cats matching in a year.

Second best outcome of the day for me: The Frightened Irish getting exposed in what amounted to their first legitimate game of the year. The chaos in the SEC, was a lot of fun too. One of the best college football days in years.

Hope you all have a good day.

Hello All,

Goodness, gracious, great Cats of fire.... Got my Jerry Lee going on the last couple days. No reason just saw him online and ran with him a bit...

Just sitting down. Made the early service, me and the BB played hard a while and his Mom picked him up. I have a couple "work" items to finish but will get into some physical therapy items/ exercises with an H-Wave machine I was given (Charged me though, by my doctor.)... Been using it religiously but not really any help... I think it is going to take some cutting of some sort and I will maybe get that process started this week... We shall see, hopefull not but I have been trying therapy for about thirty years so.....

I did buy one of those vibration plates. I like it a lot. (My intent was the blood flow part, not really the exercise part.) It will vibrate your socks off if you set it for that. ;) (Caught a good deal when they were first coming out but it seems they have caught on... (I just found this picture, I bought from Amazon.) That is the brand I bought though...

I am thankful in any event.... Many have it much worse than I do...

I hope your day(s) are fullfilling today, if not, make them that way...

Good morning.

I'm mystified that there are two threads on this forum about a FL-Baylor hoops practice game. Bizarre to me.

Good morning everyone. Back at work today from home. It was a lovely weekend, and it is a beautiful day today. My daughter and I had to postpone our "Ghost Tour of the Shenandoah" until this coming weekend because she had to go to NYC with her fiancee for some important family matters he was dealing with. So, looking forward to that.

My son is in Louisiana, helping with storm clean-up in some towns in the central part of the state. I think its a good use of the skills of his team to roll them out in the wake of disasters.

All is well otherwise. Hope you all are enjoying the day.

Hello All,

Finished my oldest's RO system earlier today. Seems to be working okay. She should be able to have some pure water by 5:30 or so if she purges the system like explained.

Not super busy today but did have some serious paperwork issues I had to correct earlier. Just lazy the way they were prepared.

I have all the stuff in "our" office all picked up and was getting ready to do a serious vacuuming but I walked into the living room and My Darling is fast asleep... She has been working hard and still getting used to her CPAP mask so......

You all enjoy yourselves, I hope this afternoon and today was/ is good to you all...

Edit:
This is how the RO system looks. I haven’t set the bottom mats yet until the leak test is done in a week or so…

Good morning folks. Working downtown in DC. It is another beautiful day in the east. The weater forecast is perfect through the weekend, which is really nice. I love this time of year.

Trying to get mildly interested in the World Series. I guess it is cool that one franchise will win a first-ever title. I'll be curious to see if the Rays can sell out the stadium, even for the Series. They didn't sell out the AL championship games.

Hope you all have a great day.

Hello All,

MAN, I have a LOT of "stuff" in our office. Me and the BB have GOT to cut down some... (We are half and half in this "stuff" syndrome. HA... I'd like to blame it on him but I cannot. One day when I have it like "we" want it, I will take a picture and share it... Not now though....

I have a company coming over to give us an estimate on putting up backsplash in our kitchen sometime between 12 and 2. Other than that My Darling and I joined a couples bible study a few weeks ago. We have that later this evening. I am just cleaning and checking in on what I hope is the final actions so I can step back and ......................retire... ;)

I wished a happy birthday to a guy I was in the Army with a few minutes ago on facebook. We were good friends. Me, Dave, Buddy, Greg, and Ken. (I have no idea what happened to Ken but I have been able to touch base with Dave, Buddy, and Greg (Greg just a little, maybe once a year.) Ole Buddy turned 68. I didn't realize he was that much older than me... Good keeping up with him and his wife Kim. (Knew her too as they were dating when we hung out together back then. Another friend Dave and his wife Tracy (They were childhood sweethearts and are still at it now... (Just a joy seeing..). They should be heading this way to visit at some point.

I hope you all have friends you have stayed in touch with over the years. It is good to see them doing well. (I do hope that is the situation if you have friends like this...)

Ranting again.....

God Bless you all...

I cannot remember where I got this but it is a treasured piece... (Just wanted to share it.)

HAHA, I had to go look:

Morning fellers. The vacation week is over but stuff never ends. It's just part of what we have to do. I don't like sitting still too much. No matter how big or how small there's always something to do.

Great times we're in for the football Cats and the roundball is not as bad as folks on here make it out to be. I think we're in for a good season but the football team has my interest right now moreso than any point in my lifetime. We're hitting rareified air with the program. Usually around this time my focus is on basketball but guys, Stein is THE REAL DEAL! I've been waiting for feels like this my whole life. Soak it up.

It's HARD to tune out what's going on in the world. France is burning and it's being portrayed as just minor scuffles. I know I'm not to be of this world but it's hard to ignore. It's important to at least know the current climate but I take heart knowing 1. God is in charge and 2. This stuff doesn't happen here because of the 2nd Amendment. Troubled times we're in right now but I win at the end no matter what happens. Stay frosty guys.

Bernheim. Not too far from me. I love it out there. First week of June here in Ky is free fishing weekend. No license required. Haven't been in a few years but they used to allow fishing in that pond with the bridge over it that one time of the year. I've caught so many MONSTER blugill there during that time because it's the only time you could fish it. I'm talking 10+ inchers and shoulders so big you could barely get your hand around them. Was SO excited at the 33 monsters I pulled out one yeat that I cut my finger to the bone while filleting. After that, it's all electric knife now.

Hello All,

HA… I have NOT turned on my computer. A serious rarity. I have a file drawer open planning to fill the empty half. (Only a two drawer cabinet.) Not a crazy amount of documents for a guy that has had many multiple business interests over the decades along with personal stuff, federal records, and a host of personal records for me, My Darling and some of my children’s records…

Anyway, once filled, I will digitize what I can keep that way. I have a fine scanner. For now I am headed back for my second cup….

You all have an incredibly joyous day and I hope God Blesses you all and your families….

Good morning from Anneta, KY.

Fell and busted my a** during visit to Jim Beam yesterday. Scraped up pretty bad. Out in parking lot. Had to P. Hiked up embankment. Relieved myself. Lost balance and fell down embankment while stepping down.

Staff at Jim Beam visitor center were the best. Manager bandaged me up. Great folks,

Working with lenders today on Harrogate house. Clean up in a few.

Good morning folks. My digital files kicked up this image from a QUARTER CENTURY AGO. I'm the tall one without an AK-47.

I was in Afghanistan, specifically Jalalabad, about eight weeks after 9/11. We were laying low because the Taliban was still around, and bumped into these guys - Nuristanis who had been contacted by the CIA to hunt Bin Laden with the promise of a $25 million bounty. They swore he was stil in Jalalabad. We thought they were crazy, and we pushed off for Kabul. Turns out, as I only found out later when the New York Times published some CIA documents - they were right, Bin Laden HAD BEEN in that town. I'm glad I didn't know then. I would not have been smiling.

More boring times now. I'm grinding away at my desk job. Hope you all have a good one.

Good morning everyone.

Back from the lake for the rest of the month and then back down to finish up (hopefully) the remodeling. We need to replace the bathroom sink/vanity, do a little backsplash work, and install a propane heater....just in time to winterize the place. lol My wife and I did get out and fish one morning for our supper and ate pretty good. Otherwise, work, work, work. Hopefully the hard work and $$$ will be worth it next year.

Big BB exhibition game tonight, long hike to our new shelter on the Pine Mountain Trail for the dedication Saturday and should make it back in time for the Vandy FB game.

Good to read up and catch up in here. Have a great weekend everyone.

Good morning folks. Happy Friday. Working from home today. Back from a run. The weather continues to be beautiful.

I'm hoping, if not expecting, to see something from the basketball Cats to give me a sense of excitement about the season. Struggling to get that old feeling about a Kentucky basketball season so far. But it's probably me -- just very busy at work.

Have a great day folks.

Morning D-Legionnaires!

Mid 50's this morning with a high around 80° for the day.

Per normal for this year, I will be headed for another co-ed softball tournament today. This one in Wichita Falls TX. I have missed most of this year's football games (live) due to tournaments. Did get to watch the last 2 live due to quad injury to left leg which is still not fully healed and was not scheduled to play this weekend. However, the team I play tournaments with called me yesterday to ask if I could make it because my replacement at pitcher canceled late yesterday afternoon so, I will go and play cautiously when running. They allow 1 pinch runner an inning so, I will jog to first when I get a base hit. If it is a pop up or grounder to the infield, I will concede and just head to the dugout.

You folks enjoy the day and God Bless.

Good morning folks. Happy Saturday.

The basketball Cats looked a little better last night. Still a long ways to go. My concerns are mostly about Zoom Diallo and rebounding over all. I was happy with Mason Williams. Wilkins looked better. Somebody has to teach N'Diaye what ISN'T a shot for him. Moreno needs to be tougher on the boards. Kentucky better get used to the idea that Momcilovic is going to be double teamed all year from the minute he gets off the bus. Maybe when Kam Williams is back that won't be a big problem -- he should get plenty of open looks on teh perimeter.

It is a beautiful day here, partly spoiled by the fact I have to go to some sort of 'celebration' for a friend of my wife's kid who is getting married this morning. At lesat it is not the full blown wedding which is out of state and mercifully conflicts with something my wife can't get out of. Ah well. By noon it'll be behind me.

You all have a great day.

Hello All,

A nice day in da neighborhood. The BB has a soccer game at 1:15. Me and him have been at it since he woke up. That boy "got" energy... He's such a good boy though.

Had my first cup and got back on eating apples a couple days ago. Since about October 2012 (Went to Korea at Deagu September 2012 for about three years.) until I retired I rarely missed a work day that I didn't eat an apple the first thing. I don't work any longer at a job but I started eating an apple in the morning again, I missed that and didn't know it. Feels good...

Heading for the second cup shortly...

Go CATS!!! Get-r-Done!!!!

No Sir, not at all. I have hit a couple beaches but had my grandchildren with me and I had my eye on them but not blaming that. Been so stupidly busy retiring. (I wish I could go into my details as to why but I was wrapped up in a lot of areas but I will not. (Just other business ventures I was involved in either slightly or partly but they were good.) Getting done with those though finally...)

My plan is to start walking the many parks around us and in Virginia and wherever we go... I'd like to do some stream walking too but we shall see about that.

Just a helpful hint, I went out in my backyard and put down a penny and saw what number came up on the detector and wrote it down, did the same thing with nickel, dime, quarter and half, my wedding band, also a silver ring, also listen closely to your detector and the sound it makes on each coin!

SIR!!! I cannot thank you enough! I had those noises coming up and the coin types showing (They come up, nickles, dimes, quarters,... butthey are never them...) but I never found that type. Putting down that type and scanning them WILL tell you what they actually are! Thanks a ton! Seriously....... I will try that tomorrow at some point after church! I have all those type items... Just WoW, simple but well away from my thought of how to ID....

One other thing, I have found a 50 caliber and a 30 caliber lead ball, they ring up and sound the same as a nickel on my machine
