Morning D-Legionnaires!

47° this morning with light winds. Mid 70's for a high today with light winds.

Headed out in a couple of hours to Wichita Falls TX. again, with a co-ed softball team that is not my normal one. Going to a tournament that proceeds go to Cystic Fibrosis. Going to try out my new senior softball bat which I can't use in our league but can in most tournaments. Supposed to be a good one but requires breaking in before its actual performance hits its peak. Just got in Wednesday. $229.00, yeah bats these days are expensive. Still, it feels good with practice swings so, we will see.

Well, got get off my butt and walk the mutt (monster) before I get ready to go.

You folks relax and enjoy your weekend and relax a bit and God Bless.
With the way I bat.......it might never hit it's peak.....if'n I was the one swinging it......

Good evening D,it seems like I’m always asking you to pray for some of my family, I need them again for my son, he is currently in the ER, getting fluids. He’s JP Dad, I feel like it’s mostly stress in his life. The reason I ask is because I know you will pray for him!! Thank you D!!!

Hello All,

I was up an hour ago but just now sitting at my computer for a few minutes. May God cover you all with his healing power and comfort that you can actually feel.

I am heading out to my garage shortly. All went well with the installation of the ceiling shelving but, I must now tighten the screws as I finished about 9 last night and did not feel like climbing again but that part should only take a few minutes then, even though it's been raining this morning, I plan to take everything out of the garage, dust it completely using my leaf blower then a microfiber mop I have then, power wash the floor with my pressure washer I bought a couple months ago.

The dust has been causing My Darling issues with her breathing.

Once that is done we are going to thouroghly clean the inside by taking down all the drapes and cleaning those along with a complete interior dusting... But that will be in a day or two... If the Lord doesn't take me home.... I am thankful....

Have a blessed day and then tell someone about it...

My former employer, through whom we get our Medicare Advantage Plan (closed except to retirees), is requiring all retirees to reconfirm their marriage/other recognized relationship in order for my spouse to continue to qualify for benefits. I see the point in trying to keep costs down. But that required me to retrieve the Marriage Certificate from our safety deposit box/scan/upload to their website. She can stay on 2 years after I die, but I'm not planning on that happening.

Appears to have worked easy enough. But I don't know how they know that you've divorced & out of the goodness of your heart you've kept her/him designated as spouse. Quite rare I suspect. :ROFLMAO:

Cord, prayers sent for you and your family.

Up early today to participate in a Washington institution, the Capital Challenge 5K, which includes a smattering of Senators and congressmen and women and at least two Supreme Court justices (Kavanaugh and Jackson.) The first year I ran this was exactly 40 years ago. That's a lot of t-shirts. Catching up with work now. Hope you all have a good day.

Good morning folks.

Cool, clear, beautiful day in the east.

it’s been a busy week but is starting to slow down a bit. Get through some knotty work problems today, some routine medical tests in the morning, and the first free weekend I’ve had in a while is waiting.

I hope you all are experiencing peace.

Hello All,

Getting at it myself shortly. I power-washed my garage floor yesterday. Putting stuff back inside kept me going until about 9.

I have a lot of things to de-dust but deciding about the shelving placements comes next. My Darling helps with that.

Going to the BB’s school today to take him lunch.

Have a spirit-filled day.

Morning D-Legionnaires!

52° this morning with moderate winds. Today's high in the mid 80's.

Plenty to do today starting with the monster walk, workout, house cleaning, possibly fence mending and other honey do list items.

Reds:rolleyes: 7 straight losses. Unreal.

TGIF you grinders so get after it. You retirees and those who are off today, RELAX....

To everyone, God Bless and be safe out there.

ATXC, still praying for recovery and comfort for both of you.

I do hope all others of you are well as well. I was stupid busy yesterday and fell into bed after showering about 9. I was up at 6 but did get good sleep. Been at it since. It looks like I am going to take a needle in the back soon to see if that aleviates some serious hip issues. I won't go into all the details but My Darling just had this done and had a hard time of it. I wish I could have taken it for her and even taken it twice.

We shall see, I had to stop for a few minutes but I am putting the storage shelving on my garage ceiling. Worked all day on my daughters yard and it came out good. (She may not even notice and the hedge trimming and bushes, edging, and mowing I did but I did it.) I was done after I picked up the BB though...

You all have a fine rest of your day(s)...
I had trigger point injections in my shoulder to treat whiplash..........I hope they are more successful on you than myself.......Good luck......pain is just a way of life for me and has been for years.......I was diagnosed for Chronic Arthritis when I was 44 yrs old.......it hasn't gotten any better......I stay loaded up on ibuprofen........the Director says I am gong to mess my stomach up.......it has to be better than the poison that they gave me at the pain management clinic............I just call it life.......

Thanks Sir, (Am sorry to hear about you though. Must be a serious (No pun intended) pain. I have my moments and I do use the pills at times especially the afternoons. I do tylenol's though as the other bugs my stomach. Use Diclofenec too. Used to use Tylenol three's before they restricted them so much. Like I told my doctor then, about ten or so a month did me wonders... (Used them strategically as I have always been cautious of getting hooked on anything.) When i start enjoying something too much I just stop it except a couple things... :sneaky: ;)

Anyway, hello All,

I am working! Building My Darlings back yard garden using the decorative landscape timbers. Just adding to her already existing garden. I promised to finish today so....Bye...

Take the intentions you have for this day and do it and add something to it. God Bless you all and your families.

Today they officially started the new interstate bridge here between KY & OH. Been tearing stuff out all Spring. Due to complete 2030. I'll take the over. Started at $3.6B two years ago. Now at $4.4B. $6B sounds about right now.
Are they going to add tolls to the bridge? They built two bridges here in Jefferson Co. Then they slapped tolls on them.

Good evening D, our son was released from the hospital, diagnosed with acute kidney injury, he was severely dehydrated, also they told him to never take another BC powder! Thank you for your prayers!

I am thankful SIr!

I was actually thinking about that medicine a few days ago thinking if it is still around. My Grandpa used to use that a lot. (He was not healthy a lot. He took a lot of different medicines but he took BC powders so much.)

No. That's why it took so long to get money to build. NKy was up in arms to that idea & said F it if tolls. I think the difference here vs. LV is that while KY owns the bridges in both places, here the bridge is more important to KYians over Ohio folks whereas in LV I think they are more important to INians. Getting to this point has been a 20+ years thing.

Me, I'm a toll roads supporter - users pay. Look at TX. They build toll roads left & right.

Dang thing is going to be 5 lanes each way (double deck) vs. just skinny 4 now. So between the two there will be 8 each way. Old bridge going back to original 3 each way. I cringe at what traffic there will be like for the next 4 years.

Good morning from ATX. Heading to hospital at 10 to visit wife.

Ate a couple oysters on half-shell yesterday. Left harvested off Massachusetts coast. Right harvested off Maine coast. Excellent. Lived 28 years in Austin. Restaurant opened in 1938. My first visit. Fried clams and fried oysters = great. Cajun cornbread steaming when served. Hush puppies = killer. Overall awesome experience.

Hello All,

I am keeping you all in prayer.

I finished My Darling's garden mostly (Still have to assist with some cucumber trellis stuff.

Leaving shortly for the BB's soccer game.

Hopefully when I return I can start on the garage hanging the door wire, then putting up some shelving. Need some walking around room. (Going to toss stuff too but am waiting to see what is needed that I have until after I finish this part.) Then I have to lift some storage items onto the ceiling shelving I installed. We shall see... (Doctor's doctors starting Monday...)

I hope you have an uncorrupted day....

Morning D-legionnaires!

Happy Mother's Day to those who may read this thread that are mothers. @Bkocats.

Wife wants fresh donuts so, I am going out shortly before she wakes up and going to the local bakery to accommodate.

Reds finally break the losing streak of 8 with a win last night against Houston. Of course, it took a dropped fly ball by the Houston outfield to get them in position to do so, but I'll take it.

More rain in the forecast today so I must get the donuts and walk the monster before the hail starts again.

Rest yourselves up today and may God Bless you all.

Good morning folks. Sunny, cool and a beautiful spring morning in the east. Went for a 4-mile run this morning and now finishing my coffee before heading for church.

Happy Mother's Day to all the women in your lives who have achieved that status.

Like the signing by the Cats of Franck Kepnang yesterday. When I watched this year's tournament it really hit home to me that Kentucky jsut didn't have the team size and strength inside to really be competitive. This guy, N'Diaye and Justin McBride have really addressed that deficit, along with Moreno getting a year older -- assuming he doesn't bolt to the NBA, which I don't think he will. He's got a better deal in Kentucky than a 2nd round NBA pick, and even a late first-rounder can't make as much as he can at UK, with the promise of a massive jump in his draft status ahead of the 2027 draft.

Have a great day.

52° this morning with light winds. Today's high to be in the upper 70's.

Reds win again (2 in a row) but I will not call it a streak until they add a couple more.

Monday, Monday...

Those who are still at it, be safe out there and for everyone, may God Bless your day and give you peace.

Good morning everyone. I'm still around just staying busy (except yesterday).

It is difficult to read through RR right now. It seems every thread turns into an argument of the habitual complainers vs the optimistic bunch. I can't believe I waste time reading through many of them. Well, I believe the big guy from Washington is exactly what we needed. If we can get MM we'll be off to the races.

I've been doing some hiking and trail work lately. One of my views attached (I hope).

Have a great day.

Howdy folks.

Back to the work grind. From home today.

Gloomy and cool in the east. A day for working inside. Not much else happening today. We heard from the far-flung kids yesterday on Mothers Day and everyone is doing well, so we're content to tend to our jobs and other routine tasks for now, and plan for more exciting days ahead.

I hope you are all doing well.
