Thanks fellas
Hope all are well
Just to tell you a little about @BMKO2.0
This is the one I’ve mentioned before who is a musician turned sound engineer
Runs for a lot of local bands but has recently been running for JD Shelburn. Kid knows his music..he can converse intelligently on nearly every genre old and new
And he’s really really good at what he does..needless to say his Dad and I are pretty proud of him
He grew up with me basketball fandom, but didn’t get really interested until recently. I think we’ve created a monster lok
But I do appreciate y’all welcoming him

You sound just like............................................... A Mom!

Hello All,

Me and the BB got some good sleep today. Heading out to his soccer game shortly... The booger beat me in chess this morning. He knows the moves...

Man, I will mention it as it is just dumb...However I did it.

I mentioned I sold my Mazda and at a good price a few days ago. Just before that about a month or so before, Sam's had a sale on key FOB's and the programming. I had one key damaged but bought a FOB replacement previously but it didn't work. The deal was they programmed both. They did and they worked. I somehow lost the bag woth the keys in it. Just horrible but that happened before the sale. I told the guy i was going to do a throurough search tomorrow after church as one last ditch effort. I sure hope I can find them. He was good people and paid in cash. (The keys were not part of the deal but I feel I owe him at least that to give it ye ole college try. (My garage IS a mess.)

Have a fine afternoon....

Went fishing this morning for about 2 hours and caught 5.

5 strikes, 5 hits, no errors. Wanted to stay out longer but had other things to do. Best day so far this year. All were caught on Chartreuse colored baits. 4 on stick worms and 1 on dark green/chartreuse striped frog. The one caught on the frog was just big enough to get its mouth over the bait. Eyes were bigger than its mouth I guess.

Good morning folks.

Early to bed, early to rise for me. Just catching up with the news that a radical leftist lunatic from California (talk about a redundant phrase) tried to smuggle guns into the Whute House Correspondents Dinner and shoot Trump.

I went to between 15 and 20 of those “Nerd Proms” between my first invitation in 1988 and the last time I went in 2012, and I can’t imagine even in less angry and volatile times anyone would have a prayer of getting through security without a really sophisticated plan and an inside connection. This guy obviously had neither. They always hold it at the same hotel where Reagan was shot, by the way. I happen to be working not far from the GW Hospital where he was taken and was outside when the Secret Service limos screamed by with him inside. That seems like a hundred years ago. Hell, I guess it is almost half that.

Rainy morning in the east. Heading out for a jog. You all take care and have a great Sunday.

Good morning Md and everyone

I've been awake for over an hour....don't sleep much during the spring. I see the Reds are still in first place. I'm hesitant to really get started following them again.

I've already scrolled through some of RR ,but it's kind of slow since I've worn out my ignore button the last couple of months. I think we're one very good player and a couple of pieces away from being a contender again.

Church later this morning, a little work to do and fishing with BIL tomorrow. That should keep me occupied until some recruiting announcements tomorrow.

Have a great Sunday everyone.

Morning D-legionnaires!

66° this morning with moderate winds. Highs to be in the upper 80's.

Monster walk completed early this morning before it starts getting hot.

Have 2 co-ed softball games this afternoon at 1pm and 4pm CDT. Season started last week and our team sits atop the standings at 2-0 with about 5 other teams (20 in the league). We are atop the list because of the number of runs scored from both games. Today's games should thin out the top a little so, we will see. We will not get to play all of the teams in the league because it will make the season too long according to the powers that be. Schade (For @AustinTXCat )

You good people relax and enjoy yourselves today and God Bless.

Hello All,

Been at my desk since 0720. On the phone, on the computer, just now to where I can pull up and do something besides work. (Insurance agents, banks, T-Mobile...(I do not use T-Mobile any longer...Verizon now since last July.)(Had them previously but switched.) (Signal better here once I received a satellite repeater from Verizon.)

Anyway, getting ready to head into my garage. I have two shelves to clean now. The floor was almost cleaned yesterday and threw a bunch away. (I can walk, I can walk in my one car garage!!!)

Then will start on the walls again, I called a guy but he never called me back. He must have work... I need the exercise anyway...

(To Brother Cord: ) I actually received a gold pan and a beach sand sifter today.) Seems there's gold in Virginia and I plan to check some areas to see if true what youtube clips are saying. (Should get exercise anyway.) Also got the sifter for the beaches when we hit them in a month or so with my metal detector. (If the Lord doesn't take me home.)

Have a blessed day all that allows you to be thankful!

Man, a lot seem scarce but I was too for a good while. UK basketball good news would help.

I was working in my garage today and My Darling was working her front garden (Flowers). Had a guy stop and ask if I had any painting or general carpentry work to be done. I was in my garage and asked him how much to prep, prime, and paint my garage (He was working in our subdivision so...), we came to an agreement. Now all I am doing is prepping my garage to be worked by moving out my "stuff" (The stuff I want to ensure doesn't walk away.). When he comes with his crew, he will move the big stuff.

My Darling and I have to go buy the paint tomorrow (Five Gallons is what he told us.) That is cool as I do not think they used five gallons of paint on our entire house inside when they built it.

Mine and my wife's hope is that they do a great job on the garage and he is to give me a price on my back patio we want to turn into another room. If all works we will ask for a price to paint our entire interior plus a couple other interior items we were going to do.... We shall see....

In any event, I am thankful.

My Darling and I just returned from our walk. My Ole hip is giving me issues. (Am told it is my back.). I had an MRI the 22nd and am waiting on that result.

Just tons to do tomorrow as well.... Take care all and I hope it's not just me filling up this page... ;) BUT, I can! (Not lessening MdW or ATXC but they type a lot less than me normally... ;)

Sorry, but morning routine usually consists of: play Forge of Empires, check-in here and over on other server, and then some Swagbucks / MyPoints / Microsoft Rewards, and finally work.

Morning D-Legionnaires!

65° this morning with light winds. Monster walk coming up in about 30 minutes with leg workout to follow.

A little shopping (groceries) planned this morning and that will just about do it for me as couch potato will be the afternoon plan as some rain is scheduled for today.

Is anyone else tired of the Stokes recruitment. Yes, decisions should be made with time consuming thought and if that is the case continually setting commitment dates and then cancelling or not following through shows me a lack of character or just being wishy washy. It seems that his camp is just riding the moment and are not serious about the process. Perhaps they know where they are going and are just using this time for attention.

Well, enough of that, I am approaching BBUK length of posting. ;) Just giving you a hard time considering your comment on a couple of other posters abbreviated posting style. Oops! There I go again.

Hope your day is full of joy and no stress.

God Bless and be safe out there.

Good morning D-Leaguers

I slept in this morning after a hard days fishing yesterday. I went with my BIL and a buddy and they are some serious crappie fishermen. The bite slowed down and the sun got intense about noon, but they kept plugging away. We ended up with 40 keeper crappie and a few odd & end fish....I was the "keeper of the fish" today so had to filet almost 50 fish before I got to eat supper.

There was no internet while out on the lake so I didn't find out the MM announcement until yesterday afternoon....Arkansas as I thought. Stokes.....sigh. Is he waiting on the assistant coach announcement?????

Deep breath and then off to RR. Not much on tap today...thankfully.

Have a goodun.

"Here I Is"....

Man, took off this morning and am NOW just sitting. (Dropped the BB off at school then, went to the Little BB's class as she had a special function my oldest could not do as she was putting somebody to sleep. (For pay this time.), took a bunch of pics and vids.) My Darling is on the phone with a long lost friend from Radcliff (KY). My Darling acted like I didn't know her. I treated her house for termites and had her daughter in my Sunday school class.) (Did get one cup of coffee to go I had ready yesterday.) Back now, bought the five gallons of paint. Getting ready to empty my garage of the important "stuff".

Rained today so no grass mowing I was thinking about doing for my youngest.

Have a day of a day. I will check in between "rest" breaks....

Good morning folks. The Rafters crowd is in full panic and riot mode over missing out on Tyran Stokes. I guess we'll see how it plays out but part of me thinks the Cats can do better with the money than a freshman egomaniac. Bill Self had the #1 high school recruit last year, and the guy who was #1 in the transfer portal, and made the same round of 32 as Kentucky.

IN any case, the sun came up (sort of) and it's a cool, clear day in the east. Have a good one.

I've been humping EVERY day... Geez,... retirement is in sight... I think...

Hello all,

Just dropped the BB off to school...

Going to finish up prepping my garage for the wall team today. They are supposed to start any day but mentioned Saturday and Sunday. I have a lot prepped already but need to take down a shelf I hung and move some items to the center of the floor along with a few more items inside.

In between I received TWO letters yesterday I must address paperwork-wise and submitting electronically. Who I thought was "helping" took a week off to "train". (A whole office.) Lucky I am not their leadership or I'd be causing some serious comotion.... Sigh BUT, things seem to be going very well... We shall see, in any event, I am thankful...

Have a Humped-up type of "relaxing" day... :sneaky:

(Okay, okay, not exactly sure what that means BUT, it made you think...maybe.. :unsure:o_O )

Pidgie, why don't your birds still fly to the south? I mean that's the direction they're used to.
The race course is laid either north to south or vice versa.......The birds are partially guided by the earth's magnetic field........ This is why they struggle when the sun spots are at their peak. .......They have magnetic particles in their frontal lobe.....They can see for up to 75 miles......and their hearing has been reported to be at a very high level.....When we race, the birds are loaded in large hampers that are then loaded on a truck.......They are driven overnight to the liberation point....(either N or S)....They are released at a pre-set time.......The liberator will drop a pin with the GPS location.......Back home each racer has a electronic clock hooked up to what is a Live hub.......as the birds cross the antenna when they come into the loft.......each bird has a band that is fixed on it's leg that has a serial number.......the time is immediately broadcast on the Live hub website.........it is calculated into YardsPerMiniute...(YPM).....this average is how each racer can remain competitive no matter their distance from the liberation point........on the 150 mile race, we have flyers with distances from 110 miles to the longest flyer at 180 miles....we also belong to a combine with clubs in Lexington, Cincinati and Evansville......this spreads the race front out a considerable distance........it is pretty exciting to sit there and wait for your birds to drop out of the sky..........I am pretty good at looking at wind speeds, temps and humidity levels, to determine approximate arrival times........this last week I told my newbie friend that they should be at my loft between 11:50 and 12:15......my birds clock at 12:20-12:22..........the winning bird was just a little over 1 mile east of me.......11:51 was when he got his first bird.......it is a very expensive hobby......my clocking system was $3,500..........my one loft is 8'x55' and the other one is 10'x16'.......I bought some new stock birds this past winter $10K........I train the birds 50 to 85 miles six days a week.......the feed and supplements to be competitive runs me about 10K a year......it cost $3.10 for the neccessary bands that each bird needs to fly.......and when you have in excess of 200 pigeons to be taken care of..........there are no vacations or days off........it is a labor of love.........it is hard to explain spending thousands of dollars so I can spend two hours a day scraping crap off of perches and floors...........it has been an addiction that no matter what, I could never shake.........when I am in my lofts taking care of my birds I am still a boy.......you have to feel it to be able to understand it..........Sorry to ramble but some things need to be explained......I started doing this 66 yrs ago......I have forgotten many things.....but, I hope that this answers your question sir.

Yes Sir,

The excitement comes from doing some things I have wanted to do probably near my whole life. (Metal detecting and prospecting.) (Not for a living but for fun.) If I come up with something nice, all the better. (I am thankful, I can go out to eat when I want now.) I don't have a need and not many desires except some personal ones. I am thankful...

OT: I got a whole lot done on my garage today. It is nearly ready. I have a medical appointment tomorrow and I told My Darling we could stop at the comissary too. (Fort Belvoir this time.) (See if we can rustle up some chuck eye steak and catch any sales.)

One thing that I have found out metal detecting is, the thrill of finding something that someone has lost, have done it a few times! The most notable is the wedding band that my best friend Dad lost 30 something years ago! The joy and excitement and tears are something that's hard to explain! Also it's funny how GOD puts you in a place where you are supposed to be. One day I ran into a friend (over an hour from where I live) I hadn't seen in years, he ask what I do since I was retired, told him that I do some metal detecting, before I could say anything else he ask if I thought I could find his hearing aid, told him I'd try, took me about 2 hours, but I found it, those are not cheap!! He tried to give me a $100, didn't take it! I got paid better than that later, GOD takes care of me!

Sir,

I was seriously considering advertising to help find lost items. (Just as an aside activity.) Where I live now there are a lot of elderly people but this subdivision is nearing only four years old so not too much lost though I think I will email and tell the association if ever anything lost that needs finding to contact me.

Just a feel good type service.

I haven't opened my Gold pan or Sand sifter yet but they're ready! (That's about eight dollars worth of stuff so not going in too deep. ;) )

I think just woods for a long while. We are in town but very secluded due to the way the subdivision is built. Due to the sewer systems and roadwork the yards and grass areas are all fully excavated. I'd say anything beneath the subdivision is too deep to get to even if I found it. The only thing my detector brings up is aluminum from walks I have made. It did bring up a quarter a few times and a couple nickels but I am not used to the depth guage yet as to how far down it is. I dug down a couple inches but, nope...

Good morning folks. Cool morning in the east.

Busy times at work. And about to get busier. A guy who is actually very good at carrying his share of the load told me yesterday he’s retiring —at 63. He just says he’s had enough, and wants to use his remaining time on other things. Can’t blame him for that. I’m seven years older and it certainly makes me reflect on my situation.

For now, heading in for another round. Hope you all are doing well.
